Denmark - Joseph "Joe" Salm, age 71 of Denmark, passed peacefully and joined his loved ones in heaven on March 29th, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late Gilbert and Ellen (Mattson) Salm was born May 12th, 1946 in Appleton. He attended St. Boniface Grade School in De Pere and West De Pere High School, graduating in the class of 1964; after which, he joined the Army Reserve.

Joe's five granddaughters were the pride and joy of his life. He loved nothing more than spending time with them and was extremely proud of each for different reasons.
Joe will be remembered for his wit and wisdom, his joyful spirit and his genuine love for others. He was a source of encouragement to many and was appreciated for his kindness. With a permanent smile on his face, he brought happiness to everyone that met him; to know Joe, was to love him.
