Mrs. Emma A. Lewis, 79, former Hortonville and town of Dale Resident, died at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 65 Otter street, Oshkosh, after a year's illness.
Born in Hortonville April 25, 1859, she attended public school there and Lawrence college in Appleton. She taught school several years and after her marriage, lived in the town of Dale. She and her husband later moved to Montana. Following his death 20 years ago, she returned to Wisconsin, settling in Oshkosh.
Survivors are one son, Roy, Oshkosh; one brother, A. C. McComb, Oshkosh; one sister, Mrs. Ina B. Reineking, Hortonville.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Mallery and Archleger Funeral home in Oshkosh. Burial will be at Hortonville.
