    Obituary:
    Gordon Arthur Koffke, age 77, of Oshkosh, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, August 8, 2007, with his family at his bedside. He was the son of the late Frank and Flora (Abraham) Koffke, born on October 10, 1929. Gordon served in the U.S. Army. He married Donna M. Engel on March 7, 1953, and she passed away on January 21, 1963. Gordon and Betty L. Ebel were wed on November 8, 1963, and she passed away on August 19, 1989. Gordon worked for Bergstrom Paper Co. / P.H. Glatfelter Paper Co. and Pine-Iheig Machine Co. / Kingsbury Inc.
    Gordon was the secretary of the Lakeshore Thursday Nite Twilite Golf League, treasurer of the Wisconsin Public Links, and was elected into the Oshkosh Bowling Hall of Fame in 1988 as the youngest member. He was a member of Travelers Protective Association of America for 40 years, a member of the Utica Wednesday 18-Hole League, and he also worked at the Utica Golf Course. Gordon was a member of the church council and ushering crew of Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. Gordon truly enjoyed golf and bowling.
    Gordon is survived by two sons: Curt (Leslie) Koffke, Menasha; Perry (Kristine) Koffke, Kewaskum; four grandchildren: Nathan Koffke, Menasha; Jonathan Laatch, Oshkosh; Ericka and Jared Koffke, Kewaskum; two step-grandchildren: Jessica (Schmitt) Rento, Hartford; and Zachary Schmitt, West Bend; three sisters: Doris Troiber, Edith Wilson, and Julaine Hanneman, all of Oshkosh.
    Along with his parents and wives, Gordon was also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Karhala; and a brother, Marvin Koffke.
    Funeral Services for Gordon will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 12 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 240 W. 9th Ave., Oshkosh, with Pastor Timothy Greenwald officiating. Cremation will follow and inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh. A Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
    Gordon wished to thank his very special friend, Barbara Christl, for her tender loving care, and his son Curt and his family for the care given to him during his illness. Gordon's family expresses appreciation to the wonderful Heartland Hospice team, and to Dr. Duffy and Dr. Dar.
