Emma A. Soukup, 92, of 8217 County G, Coleman died Fri., Mar. 9, 2007, at Sharpe Care Nursing Home in Oconto Falls.The daughter of the late James and Barbara (Jisa) Schwiner was born Aug. 27, 1914, in the town of Brazeau. She was married to Frank Soukup on Aug. 18, 1931, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Klondike. Emma owned and operated a farm with her husband Frank in the town of Spruce for her entire life. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing, cooking, her grandchildren, and visiting with friends. She was a member of Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Klondike.
Surviving are one son, Lawrence Soukup, Coleman; one daughter and son-in-law, Eileen and LeRoy Konkle, Menasha; five grandchildren; Daniel (Mary) Konkle, Menasha; Darlene (John) Pawelkiewicz, Neenah; Debra Smits, Appleton; Patrick Konkle, Kimberly; and Cameron (Julie) Konkle, Menasha; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Vogal, Florida; nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, an infant son Harvey, her parents, James & Barbara Schwiner; three brothers; Bill, Joe, and Frank Schwiner and their wives; and two great-granddaughters.
Friends may call at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman from 4-8 p.m. Monday with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at Ss. Francis & Wenceslaus Church, Coleman, from 9:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Rev. John Hephner will officiate with burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Spruce.
