Jacobs, Lester C. “Jake” MenashaAge 81, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at his home. He was bo rn on January 27, 1922to the late Robert and Caroline Jacobs in Gresham, W isconsin. He married Delores LeNoble on November 26, 1955 in Appleton, W I. Jake served in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific, and was a memb er of the Appleton American Legion. He was proud to be a member of the One ida Nation Tribe. He worked for 25 years at Four Way Express as a truck dr iver until his retirement in 1984.Survivors include: wife, Delores, children: Pamela (William) Roche, Gre en Bay; Cynthia (friend Paul) Jacobs, Neenah; Linda Zuelsdorf, Appleton; B renda Jacobs, Appleton; Marsha Glatz, Appleton; and Donald Jacobs, Clinton ville; grandchildren: Ryan, Mark, Lisa, Kurt, Tanya, Christopher, Jennife r, Brooke, and Brandon; sisters: Peggy (Earl) Wood; Stella (Gary) Oman; br other: StephenJacobs. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and f riends.He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Diana in 1977.A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2003 at 5 p.m. at t he funeral home with Deacon Jerry Cross officiating. Friends will be recei ved from 2 p.m. until the time of service, Sunday. Interment will take pla ce at GreenLawn Memorial Park, Oshkosh. A memorial fund is being establish ed. God saw he was getting tired, And a cure was not to be; So he put His arms around him, And whispered,”Come with me.” With tearful eyes we watched him suffer, And saw him fade away; Although we loved him dearly, We could not make him stay.
