    Koehne, Reverend David A.
    Reverend David A. Koehne, entered eternal life Thursday, September 7, 200 6, at the age of 82. Father Koehne was born April 21, 1924, in Appleto n, to Anton and Barbara (Beck) Koehne. He attended St. Francis Semina ry in Milwaukee, and was ordained on June 11, 1949, by Bishop Stanisla us V. Bona at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Green Bay.
    Father Koehne's first appointment was as Assistant at St. Boniface Paris h, Manitowoc. He then served as Assistant at St. Joseph Parish, Green B ay (1949); St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Oshkosh (1950); Holy Cross Paris h, Kaukauna (1951); St. Patrick Parish, Green Bay (1953); St. Mary Paris h, Chilton (1956); St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish, Kaukauna (1958); a nd Holy Rosary Parish, Kewaunee (1960). He was appointed Pastor of Immacul ate Conception Parish, Florence with mission at St. Norbert, Long Lake (Se ptember, 1962); St. Mary Parish, Marion (September, 1966); St. Mary Paris h, Stockbridge (September, 1972); St. Joan of Arc Parish, Goodman (Januar y, 1979); and St. Patrick Parish, Askeaton (June, 1979). Father then serv ed as Chaplain at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna (June, 1990) until his retireme nt in June of 1994. He served on the Board of Directors of the COPS Founda tion, and was very involved in foreign missions and the world's poor.
    Fr. David is survived by a sister, Mary E. Koehne; brothers: Paul J., Thom as P., James A., and Richard J.; and many nieces, nephews, and special fri ends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Anthony J., George H ., Karl T., and Robert F.
    Reception of the body by the Regional Vicar, Father Donald M. Zuleger, wi ll take place at 4 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2006, at St. Joseph Churc h, 404 W. Lawrence, Appleton. Visitation will follow until 7 p.m., endi ng with a Prayer Service led by Father Lawrence Abler, OFM, Cap., Pasto r. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, September 12, 2006, from 9:30 a.m. u ntil the time of the funeral Mass.
    The funeral Liturgy, expressing our faith and our hope in the promised glo ry of the Lord's Resurrection, will be at 10:30 a.m. Bishop Robert F. Morn eau will be the Presider and Deacon Gerald Kuborn will preach the homil y. All priests are invited to concelebrate. Burial will be at St. Joseph C emetery, Appleton, Wisconsin. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting t he family 920-336-8702. Online condolences may be expressed at cotterfuner alhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the COPS Foun dation or Mass intentions (missions).
