Obituary:
Kenneth Raymond Wege, age 92, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2007. He was born October 2, 1914, to the late Frank and Francis (Pribnow) Wege in New London. He was baptized and confirmed at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, WI. Ken grew up on a farm and graduated from New London High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Madison. On September 24, 1938, Kenneth married Josephine Houk. Over the years he drove a milk truck and belonged to the Carpenters Union for more than 50 year. Before his retirement Ken worked for the P.G. Miron, Boldt Construction, C.R. Meyers, and Hoffman Construction companies.
Ken is survived by six daughters: JoAnn (Jerry) Schuh, Appleton; Pat Koehnke, Greenville; Susan (Daniel) Gruetzmacher, New London; Beverly (Gary) Danke, Salix, IA; Sharon (Bill) Huebner, New London; Jean (Mark) Pauley, Appleton; three sons: James Wege Little Chute; Thomas (Kathy) Wege, Bear Creek; Terry (Jamie) Wege, Ottawa, IL. Ken is further survived brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws: Russell and Winnie Johnson, Robert and Leslie Houk, Helen Reageles, and many grand children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine; sons: Robert and David Wege; a daughter, Betty Wege; brothers: Keith (Yvonne) Wege; Gordon Wege; sister, Florence (Delos) Hobbs and son-in-law, Ken Koehnke.
Funeral services for Ken will be held at Valley Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at 7 p.m. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Most Precious Blood Catholic Cemetery.
