Obituary:
Laura O. Bellile, age 94, New London, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2008. Laura was born on February 2, 1914, in Shawano, daughter of the late Albert and Augusta (Hildemann) Sommer. Laura was a life long resident of New London.
She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was employed at American Plywood from 19423 to 1961 and then at Simmons until her retirement in 1975.
Laura is survived by a step-daughter-in-law, Connie Bellile, New London; a step-granddaughter, Tammy (Kevin) Kanaman, Weyauwega; a step-grandson, Robert (Nancy) Bellile, New London; a sister, Helen Campbell, New London; a brother-in-law, Carl Bellile, New London; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Slosarek Jackson, New London; three step-great-granddaughters and a step-great-grandson; special friend and neighbor John and Jean Humblet, New London. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents and husband Gordon (1985), Laura is preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
Funeral services for Laura will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Brian Hennig officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Hortonville. Family and friends may call directly at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
