    Harold H. Buchholtz, 84, New London, formerly of Weyauwega, passed away Friday, July 10, 2009, at St. Joseph's Residence in New London with his loving family by his side. He was born May 11, 1925, in the Town of Lebanon, Waupaca County, son of the late Robert and Irma (Krueger) Buchholtz. He was baptized and confirmed at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church in Sugar Bush. On Nov. 23, 1947, he married Beatrice Ticks at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Harold owned and operated a farm together with his four sons in the town of Weyauwega, Waupaca County, along with operating a custom farming and harvesting business until 1978. He later worked at Schwandt Implement and Service Motor Company as a truck driver and then worked for Dairyland Laboratories of Stratford, Wis. During this time he was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega and held various church offices. He moved to New London and presently was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Harold enjoyed fishing, going to auctions and taking rides with Beatrice. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Beatrice; three sons: Bruce (Nancy) Buchholtz, Weyauwega, Dale (fiancee Debby Derosso), Waupaca, and Brian (Betty) Buchholtz, Weyauwega; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy (Edward) Hahn, Weyauwega, Verona Wantoch, Norfolk, NE, and Beatrice Broehn, Wild Rose; a daughter-in-law, Mary Buchholtz, New London; nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Wayne. The Christian Funeral for Harold will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 15, 2009, at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, Wis., with Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. Visitation will be held at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega on Tuesday July 14, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Harold's name. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Joseph's residence and the Hartland Hospice for the wonderful loving care given Harold in his final days.
