Obituary:
Genevieve A. Verkuilen, age 93, of Green Bay, formerly of Neenah, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2011. She was born November 30, 1917, to the late Edward and Martha Fitch in Menasha. Genevieve will always be remembered as a devoted mother and grandma. She was a warm, friendly, and caring person that will be very much missed by her family.
She is survived by children: Barbara Roff; and Maurice (Carolyn) Handler; grandchildren: Barry (Peggy) Roff; Todd (Kim) Roff; Angela (Scott) Wamre; Michael (Stephanie) Handler; 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Handler.
A funeral service for Genevieve will be held Friday, January 14, 2011, at Noon at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Genevieve's family would like to extend a warm thank you to the nurses and staff at Golden Living Center, Green Bay, for their compassion and care.
