    Mrs. Meyer of 510 ½ W.Wisconsin Ave. Kaukauna, died Saturday morning Octob er 14, 1978. The former Mary Mayme Weyenberg was born April 14, 1901 in Ka ukauna, and lived here most of her life. She was a member of the Christi an Mothers of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Survivors include one daughte r, Delores DeCoster of Kaukauna, two sons, Robert P. and Carl DeCoster, b oth of Kaukauna, three brothers William, John and Joseph Weyenberg, a ll of Kaukauna, one sister, Mrs.John (Minnie) Heindel of Kaukauna, eight g randchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by h er first husband, George DeCoster in January 1953.
    Mary Mayme died 14 oct.1978 in Kaukauna.

He had been employed wi th Thilmany Pulp and Paper company until his retirement in 1962.     Kaukauna Times Wedding:The marriage of Miss Minnie Weyenberg and John Heindel, both of this cit y, took place Tuesday morning at 8 o'clock at Holy Cross Church, Rev.Fr. La Mieuz preforming the ceremony. The attendance were Miss Mamie Wildenbe rg of Little Chute and George Weyenberg, a brother of the bride. Marie He indel acted as flower girl. The bride beautifully dressed in white georget te crepe, wore a veil and carried a bouquet of roses. The bridesmaids dre ss was of robin's egg blue crepe with hats to match. A wedding breakfast w as servied to about 300 guests at the home of the brides parents. They w ill make their home in this city. The out of town guests were Mr.and Mrs.J oseph Wilger of Athens, Miss Mae of Green Bay and Mr.and Mrs.William Bli er of Appleton.

    Mrs. John Heindel (Minnie Weyenberg) formerly of 04 Desnoyer St. Kaukaun a, age 91, died Tuesday, December 5 1995 at St.Pauls Home. She was bo rn August 17, 1904 in Kaukauna, the daughter of the late Peter and Cathe rine (Jansen) Weyenberg. Minnie married John Hendel on June 26, 1923 at Ho ly Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. They celebrated their 72nd wedding ann iversary this past June. She enjoyed playing cards, especially her Tuesd ay Bridge Club. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Ladi es of Holy Cross and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was surviv ed by her husband John, two sons, David Heindel, Greenbay, Tom Heindel, K aukauna, a daughter and son in-law, Germaine and Lloyd Wink.
    Minnie died 05 dec.1995 in Kaukauna.

He was bo rn September 17, 1908 in Kaukauna, he was the son of the late Peter and Ca therine (Jansen) Weyenberg. He had been employed at Thilmony Pulp & P aper Company for 43 years prior to his retirement in 1970. Mr.Weyenbe rg was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed a good card gam e. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna and the Thilm any Quarter Century Club.Survivors includes his wife of 43 years, Ann (Janssen) Weyenberg, four so ns and daughters in-law, Richard and Louise Weyenberg of Kaukauna, Raymo nd and Janice Weyenberg of Rogers, Mn., James and Beverly Weyenberg, a nd Charles and Nancy Weyenberg of Kaukauna, three daughters and sons i n-law, Carol and Gregory Coenen of Green Bay, Janice and Eugene Mint en of Darboy, and Dorothy and Daniel Lamers of Wrightstown, 25 grandchildr en, 9 great grandchildren a sister and a brother in-law Min and John Heid el of Kaukauna, and four sisters in-law, Loreta Weyenberg of Kaukauna, Jos ephine Weyenberg of Kaukauna, Lorena Weyenber of Kalama, Wa.and Margar et Weyenberg of Kaukauna.     A defective cord on a lamp table has been singled out as the cause of a fire that took the lives of the six little children of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Weyenberg early Sunday morning according to a statement made by Kaukauna Fire Chief William Haupt. Mrs. Weinberg stated she had turned on the lamp in the living room Sunday morning before leaving the house to attend mass with her husband.
    A Mass of Angels was sung at Holy Cross Catholic Church this morning at 10 o'clock in final services for the six children who perished in a fire that swept their home early Sunday. Dead are Lynn, 7; Douglas, 6; Margaret, 5; John, 3; Barbara, 2 ½; and Michael. 1 ½. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Boys from Holy Cross school served as pallbearers a large crowd of mourners and friends attended the service at the church and cemetery.

    The funeral service for Leroy Heindel, 30, Doty Street, was killed shortly after 2 AM Sunday near the intersection of Desnoyer and Taylor streets, will be held this morning at 10 AM from Holy Cross church.     Glenn Weyenberg, age 71, of Little Chute, passed away at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna, on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Glenn was born on July 16, 1937, in the Town of Vandenbroek, to the late William and Loretta (De Bruin) Weyenberg. He married Joyce Jansen on June 4, 1966, in Little Chute. Glenn was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was the owner of Weyenberg Builders for many years and later worked for the Kaukauna Area School District, retiring in 2001.
    Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a former Kaukauna City Alderman, Outagamie County Supervisor and a member of the Kiwanis. Glenn enjoyed hunting and fishing, card playing and gaming, and was a true sports enthusiast.
    Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Joyce; his children, Lori (Jon) Kuether, Kaukauna; Mark (Karen) Weyenberg, Wrightstown; and John (Jennifer) Weyenberg, Combined Locks; his grandchildren, Sean (fiancee Shawna) Kuether, Matthew and Zachary Kuether, Emily and Allison Weyenberg, and Will and Natalie Weyenberg; his brother, Marvin (Beverly) Weyenberg; his sisters, Joan (Carl) Schumacher, and Joyce Baumann; his sisters-in-law, Charlene Weyenberg, and Jacqueline (Ron) Wegand; his brothers-in-law, James (Nancy) Jansen, Joseph (Pam) Jansen and David Meyer.
    He was preceded in death by his brother William "Bill" Weyenberg; his in-laws, Edward and Martha Jansen; his brother-in-law, Barry Bauman; and his sister-in-law, Jean Meyer.
    The Funeral Liturgy will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. He was born February 5, 1947, to William P. and Loretta (DeBruin) Weyenberg, Sr., in Kaukauna, where he was a resident until moving to Little Chute in 1976. Bill was owner of Weyenberg Builders, which he established in 1977. He loved his family, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golf.     Weyenberg, James J.James J. Weyenberg, of Kaukauna, age 58, died on Wednesday, January 25, 20 06, at Cherry Meadows after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He w as born October 1, 1947, to John and Anne (Janssen) Weyenberg in Appleto n. Jim married Beverly Hennes on September 10, 1971, at St. Aloysius Catho lic Church. He attended UW Oshkosh earning a Bachelor of Science Degr ee in Special Education in 1978. Following graduation, he taught as a spec ial education teacher at Plamann school in Appleton. Jim enjoyed woodworki ng, fishing, and hunting. On weekends, he would enjoy spending time on t he boat and by the campfire at their cottage on Legend Lake. Jim was al so fond of his numerous beagles he had raised over the years. They made nu merous rabbit hunting trips on the weekends with his friends and family. L et's not forget the famous rabbit feeds down in "Johnny's" basement. Musc le cars were always an important and fun hobby that Jim shared with his so n. He especially took great pride in cruising around town and doing burnou ts in his 1971 gold Chevelle.He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his son, Peter (Ann) Weyenberg; his d aughter, Julie (special friend, Jared Bothe) Weyenberg; his mother, Anne W eyenberg; three brothers: Richard (Louis) Weyenberg, Raymond (Janie) Weyen berg and Chuck (Nancy) Weyenberg; three sisters: Carol (Greg) Coenen, J an Minten and Dorothy Lamers.     Patricia Eichhorst, age 72, of Brillion, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Rochester, MN surrounded by her loving family.
    Pat was born on September 19, 1944 in Appleton, daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Muthig) Weyenberg. She was a graduate of Kaukauna High School, class of 1962. On December 7, 1963, she married James "Jim" Eichhorst at Riverview Lutheran Church in Appleton. Pat started her career at the Power Company in Appleton and then worked for Endries in Brillion for 23 years. She had a spunky spirit and a love for life and her family. Pat adored caring for her grandchildren and loved attending all of their events. She enjoyed organizing family holidays/celebrations and rummage sales, traveling, camping and spending time with friends both here and in Florida. Pat had a heart of gold and always put others first, which was reflected in her volunteer work with Hidden Treasures and at various functions for Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member.
    She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim of Brillion; their children and spouses: Steven (Diane) of Neenah, David (Robin) of Brillion, and Paula (Michael) Rahn of De Pere; grandchildren: Justin, Katie (Jon), Emily, Olivia, Josh, Phil, Dyllan (Courtney), Zach, Riley, Conner Belle, Meagan, and Taylor; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Joe (Char) Weyenberg and Jeannine (Bryan) Krepline; two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Diane (Fran) Dietzen and Kay (Jerry) Luckow; father-in-law: Kenneth Eichhorst; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

    DeCoster, Thomas G. " Tom"Thomas G. DeCoster, age 57 years, Kaukauna, died Sunday, April 9, 200 6, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born June 24, 1948, in Appleton, t he son of the late Robert P. and Betty (Winter) DeCoster. Tom served in t he U.S. Army during 1968-1970 in Vietnam.He enjoyed hunting up north and fishing in Canada. Tom played in many crib bage tournaments and played cards with family and friends. He was kno wn as the "master chef" with his excellent grilling skills. Tom loved bei ng up north with his family.     Mary Verbeten, age 56, passed away at a Milwaukee hospital following a brief illness. Mary was born in Appleton on December 10, 1955, daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Winter) DeCoster. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1974, and soon thereafter went to work at AAL. On August 17, 1985, Mary married Paul Verbeten at Holy Cross Church in Kaukauna. Mary retired from AAL/Thrivent in 2009 as a Service Associate, after thirty-two years of employment there. Everyone will remember her love for BINGO, the Packers and Brewers, reading, and the sun and fun in the family swimming pool. She was a huge fan of Kristin's athletic events and loved to follow her and her teams. Disney World was one of her favorite places to visit, and she had been there several times.
    Mary is survived by her husband: Paul Verbeten of Freedom; her daughter: Kristin Verbeten at home; a sister: Kay Van Dera of Kaukauna; a brother: Bob (Ellen) DeCoster of Kaukauna; three sisters-in-law: Sue Verbeten of Kaukauna; Mary (Dan) Hoefler of Darboy; and Alice (Don) Schulz of Kaukauna; and her mother and father-in-law: Dan and Margie (Ryan) Verbeten of Kaukauna; and a former sister-in-law: Lynn Hunter. There are also many nieces and nephews: Shelley (Dan) Deprez, Jodi (Paul) Gardner, Ross DeCoster, Carl and Craig Van Dera, Marisa (Quinn) Schartner, Adam Doell, Ann (John) Kasson, Colleen (Dan) Sloane, Kevin (Calicia) Huss, Megan and Marissa Hoefler, and Dylan Schulz. There are also many great-nieces and great-nephews. Mary also leaves behind her dear friends: Kris Fahrbach, Georgine Kautza, and Joe and Debbie Vandenberg. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Tom DeCoster, an infant sister Diane, and an infant son Scott Paul Verbeten.
    The funeral liturgy for Mary will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy and Fr. Bob Kabat officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service. There will be prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation .
    The family would like to offer their gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, and staff members from Froedtert Hospital who took such great care of Mary, and lovingly referred to her as "Giggles." We will never forget your kindness these past days.

    Derek Berghuis, 18, Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was born October 14, 1995, son of Jeff Berghuis and Shelly (Weyenberg) Berghuis. Derek graduated from Kaukauna High School, Class of 2014. He has been employed at Larry's Piggly Wiggly for several years, and just recently started working at Fox Structures. He loved working with his hands, and was always helping others with projects. Derek was a good young man, always there for his friends and family, and wanted everyone to be the best they could. He was everybody's "Little Buddy."
    Derek loved spending time up north. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends in the Northwoods. Derek will truly be missed by the countless number of people whose lives he touched.
    Derek is survived by his loving parents: Jeff (special friend Jodie Knutson) Berghuis, and Shelly Berghuis; a brother, Michael (Amy) Berghuis; a sister, Holly (Bradley) Verhovec; a nephew, Kadence "KC" Verhovec; cousin, like a brother: Tylere Berghuis; grandparents: Dan & Donna Weyenberg, Bob & Dolly Berghuis and Dale Marquardt; great grandparents: Gladys Zielke and Ciel Weyenberg; aunts and uncles: John (Dawn) Berghuis, Jim (special friend Becky Huss) Berghuis, Sara (Todd) Hietpas, Molly (Don) Vosters, Amanda Hanstad and Mindy (Mike) Hanstad; cousins: Kirsten, Kara, Makenna, Zack, August, Anna, Laura, Adam, Ellie, Evan, Grant, Caleb, Autumn, Hunter and Kendra; numerous step cousins; girlfriend, Kimmy Felicitas; special friends: Philip H., Adam S., Drew M. and Travis V.; and many other extended family members and friends.
    Derek was preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane (Lenz) Marquardt; great grandparents: Melvin "Lefty" Weyenberg, Ves and Mary Berghuis, Jerome Vosters and Margie and Ray Heindl; and a great aunt, Bev Havel.
    Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.verkuilenfh.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Derek's name.
    The Berghuis and Weyenberg families would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
