    Nushart, Dorothy M.Formerly of Kaukauna, died in a Green Bay nursing center on Thursday, Ju ne 6, 2002 at the age of 86. Dorothy was born in Hollandtown on May 10, 19 16 daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Josephs) Fink. On Decemb er 28, 1932 Dorothy married Robert Nushart in Hollandtown; he preceded h er in death on August 17, 1979. For many years, Dorothy worked as the he ad cook at the Kaukauna Elks Lodge, and later supervised the delicatess en at Larry's Market. Many will remember her as an excellent cook and supe rb homemaker. She is survived by her daughter: Carol (Greg) Vander Veld en of DePere; two sons: Ken (Mary Lou) Nushart of Soldotna, Alaska and Cli ff (Karen "Suzie") Nushart of Askeaton; ten grandchildren: Kevin (Susie) N ushart, Keith (Dawn) Nushart, Kim (Steve) Russell, Kris (Jason) Stuart, Cr aig (Bonnie) Nushart, Curt (Annette) Nushart, Kamie Nushart, Rob Van Eyc k, Kathy Van Eyck, and Joe (Lori) Van Eyck; three step-granddaughters: Cin dy (Russ) Forseth, Pam (Joe) Sturm, Lisa (Mark) Stevens; fourteen great-gr andchildren; fourteen step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaugh ter Katy; a brother: Robert Fink of Wausaukee; three sisters: Mabel (Stev e) McKinley of Appleton, Agnes Liebergen of Kaukauna, and Ruth (Walter) Ve rhaagh of Green Bay; three sisters-in-law: Rita Fink of Kaukauna, Josephi ne Granger of Kaukauna, and Mabel Nushart of Pembine. Dorothy was preced ed in death by her husband in 1979, a grandson Kip Nushart in 2000, brothe rs Earl (Marcella) Fink, Elmer Fink, and Sylvester Fink a sister Floren ce (Larry) Schroeder; brothers-in-law Nestor Liebergen, Elmer Granger, Ric hard Nushart, John (Helen) Nushart, and George "Buddy" (Ruth) Nushart; a nd by sisters-in-law Eva (Barney) Eppinger, Marie "Tootie" (Joe) Hurst, Ce ily (Wilfred) Siebers, and Lillian (Bill) Lenz.The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 11 AM on Monday, June 1 0, 2002 at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with F r. Robert Udulutsch, OFM, Cap. officiating. Interment will be in the pari sh cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Monday from 9 AM u ntil the hour of the services.Dorothy will be remembered by all as a woman who dedicated her life to t he service of others. Even near the end of her life, while being challeng ed by Alzheimer's Disease and using a walker, she continued to be of he lp to those she loved.The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at S t.     Nushart, Kenneth JohnMr. Kenneth John Nushart, 70, Soldotna resident, died Wednesday, August 18 ,2004 at the Elmendorf A.F.B. Hospital in Anchorage, AK.Memorial services will be held 7 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2004 at Our La dy of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Soldotna. Father John Hollemanwi ll officiate. A reception will follow the services at the O'Neill Hall. Ke n's ashes will be laid to rest at his son's memorial tree.Ken was born October 23, 1933 in Kaukauna, WI where he was raised and h ad graduated from Kaukauna High School. He had entered in the United Stat es Army in 1956 serving as Military Police during which time he was statio ned in Germany. He was an expert marksman while he was in the Army a nd he was honorably discharged in 1958. Ken had first moved to Anchorag e, AK in 1980and later moved to Soldotna, AK in 1991. He had worked at S t. Jude's Children Home in Nevada and at the Kenai Care Center in Kenai fr om which he retired in 2000. Ken was a member of the Our Lady of Perpetu al Help in Soldotna. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and being with his fa mily.The family wrote, "Ken will be missed by all who loved him, including h is fishing family and friends. He loved to laugh and made everyone arou nd him happy. Sunday BBQ's were a family tradition. Thank you to all the s taff at Elmendorf Hospital for all of their love and support. Ken's love f or life will be carried on in all who knew him. We miss you Dad."God saw he was getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So He put his ar ms around him and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watch ed you,and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not m ake you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to res t.     Carol Vander Velden, Green Bay, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, September 23, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born in Kaukauna on January 12, 1936, daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy (Fink) Nushart. On June 2, 1955, she married Joseph Van Eyck. Later, on October 6, 1972, Carol married Greg Vander Velden. Greg preceded her in death in 2004. In her younger years, Carol worked at Badger Northland in Kaukauna, a job she really loved. Later she worked as a switchboard operator and receptionist at St. Mary and St. Vincent Hospitals in Green Bay. Carol enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and hunting with Greg, but most of all she will be remembered as an avid Badger and Packer fan.
    She also treasured time spent with her family: Rob (Patti) Van Eyck, Kathy Van Eyck, and Joe (Lori) Van Eyck, all of Green Bay; her step-children: Cindy (Russ) Forseth of South Carolina and Pam (Joe) Sturm of Appleton; her grandchildren: Tiffani Van Eyck Burkard, Marissa Van Eyck, and Makenna Van Eyck; step-great-grandchildren: Jennifer, Sarah, Violette, Emily, Elissa, Travis, and Troy; three great-grandchildren: Katy, Bradley, and Aiden; eight step-grandchildren; a brother: Cliff (Suzie) Nushart of Greenleaf; and a sister-in-law: Mary Lou Nushart of Alaska.
    Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Greg Vander Velden, her former husband Joe Van Eyck, a brother Ken Nushart, and a nephew Kip Nushart.
    The funeral liturgy for Carol will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH (St. Mary's Church) 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
