    When I visited St. Mary's Church (August 2001) to view the records I found a slip of paper written by Henry to correct the baptismal entry. Listed his address as Henry Wilpolt 26 Main St. Menasha, WI for them to send a corrected baptismal record to. It also says "see Wm. Rosenow - boug ht Wilpolt farm on County H.U.: Listed page 9 Herman, Page 22 Mary Gertrude and page 29 Margaret Antoinette.

    Ex-Menasha Fireman Dies - Henry J. Wilpolt Had Served With Volunteers 37 Years Menasha -
    Henry J. Wilpolt, 84, 26 Main St. a member of Menasha's volunteer fire department for 37 years, died at 2:30 Sunday afternoon after being in poor health for a year. He was born July 28, 1872, in Sparta and h ad lived in Menasha for 55 years, coming from Kaukauna.He had been employed at the Menasha Wooden Ware for 50 years before retiring. He retired from volunteer fire service in 1941 when the paid department was established although he served as vacation relief fireman during the war years. He was a member of the Eagles, Catholic Order of Foresters and of Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church. Funeral services will be he ld at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Kaukauna. Friends may call at the Laemmrich Funeral Home after 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and the rosary will be said there at 7 o'clock, 7:30 and 8:30 Tuesday night.Survivors are the widow; a half brother Ted Micke, Clouquet, MN. and two half sisters, Mrs. Elisabeth Peters, Rudolph, and Mrs. Gertrude Peters, Portland, Oregon

    Henry J. Wilpolt, 84, of 26 Main St., Menasha, died at his home at 2:30 Sund ay morning. He had been in poor health for the past year. He was born Ju ly 28, 1872 in Sparta, Wis., and had been a Menasha resident the past 55 y ears. He came to Menasha from Kaukauna, and was retired from Menasha Wood en Ware Corp. where he had been employed for 50 years. He also served f or 37 years on the volunteer fire department for Menasha until the time pa id crews were hired. He had also helped the department during World W ar II on his vacations. He was a member of the Menasha Eagles, The Cathol ic Order of Foresters, and the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's church. Sur vivors are his widow, a half-brother, Ted Micke of Cloquet, MN. and two ha lf sisters, Mrs. Elisabeth Peters, Rudolph, Wis., and Mrs. Gertrude Peter s, Portland Ore. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 am at St. M ary's church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kaukauna.
