    Obituary:
Sister of St. Francis of Assisi Lucille Pritzl, 93, formerly Sister Margaret Marie, died December 2, 2017, at St. Francis Convent in Saint Francis, Wis. Born in Greenville, Wis., to Robert and Elizabeth (Gresl) Pritzl, Lucille attended vocational school in Appleton before she entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi in 1941.
After professing vows, her first assignment was in the congregation's art department. She then devoted 18 years in domestic work at St. Francis Minor and Major Seminaries, as well as the Archbishop's residence in Milwaukee.
Between 1965 and 2003, Sister Lucille ministered for 25 years at St. Coletta of Wisconsin, Jefferson, as an assistant teacher, child care worker, receptionist, and volunteer. Her years in Jefferson were interrupted for a brief time as a nursing assistant for the congregation. After completing a bachelor's degree in social studies and education, she served as a dorm supervisor and teacher's aide at St. John School for the Deaf from 1973 to 1981. Upon retiring from active ministry in 2003, she volunteered until her full retirement in 2013.
The arts were also an important part of Sister Lucille's life. In 1996 and 2002, she received awards for her paintings. In the winter of 1996, the National Library of Poetry published her poem, "Munificence" in Daybreak on the Land.
Sister Lucille is survived by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, with whom she shared life for 76 years; a brother, Victor (Donna) Pritzl; a sister, Marie Jezerc; sisters-in-law, Joan and Dorothy (Dolly) Pritzl. She was preceded in death by siblings/in-laws Raymond (Ardina) Pritzl; Julius (Isabelle) Pritzl; Bernice Pritzl; Richard (Rita) Pritzl; George and Harold Pritzl; Ron Jezerc; Eldora (William) Jimenez; Bernice (Merl) Meiers; and LaVerne (Donald) Moyette.
Funeral services were held on December 7, at St. Francis Convent, 3221 S. Lake Dr, Saint Francis WI 53235. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
