He was born March 10th, 1892, in Appleton and lived he re all his life. Funeral services will be held at 230 Saturday afterno on at the Whitman funeral home with burial in Riverside cemetery. Frien ds may call at the funeral home after 2:00 today. Survivors include one d aughter, Mrs. William F. Platt, Menasha; three sons Marvin and Donald, App leton and Robert, Kimberly; one brother, and John of Winneconne, three sis ters, Mrs. Louis Miller, Neenah, Mrs. Lorraine Keating, Appleton and Mr s.     Marvin J. Green, age 8 0, passed away and unexpectedly Wednesday March 22nd, 1995 while vacationi ng in Alabama. He was born March 11th, 1915 in Appleton, son of the la te Nicholas and Blanche (Brady) Green, and has been Appleton resident a ll of his life. Marvin was united in marriage to Lucille DeNoble on Ju ne 22nd, 1940 sharing 44 years together before her death in 1984. Marv in joined the Appleton police department on July 9th, 1940. He was with t he department for 37 years before retiring in 1977 with the rank of Captai n. Marvin attended Stevens Point University where he played on the footba ll team. He was a sports enthusiast, playing softball with local teams, s emipro football with the Manitowoc Chiefs and an avid golfer. Marvin w as a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, Combined Locks and serv ed in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1932 until 1940. Survivors inclu de two sons and daughters in law: Dennis and Patricia Green, Pardeevill e; Douglas Green, Madison; two grandchildren: Michael and Maureen Green; t wo brothers and a sister in law: Donald and Blanche Green, Appleton; Robe rt Green, Kimberly; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and William Plat t, Menasha; a special friend, Winifred Wieseckel, Kimberly. Besides his p arents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Leona Gree n. The mass of resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday Mar ch 25th at St. Paul Catholic Church, the Rev. Robert Vandenberg officiatin g. Internment will be in St. Joseph cemetery.

Bob was born on April 1, 1918, son of t he late Nicholas and Blanche (Brady) Green. On December 1, 1945, he marri ed the former Leona Van Eperen; she preceded him in death in February of 1 995. For many years, he was employed at the Kimberly-Clark Atlas Mill, App leton, and retired in 1978 as a member of the Quarter-Century Club. He fai thfully served his country as a member of the United States Army during Wo rld War II, serving with Company D, 32nd Division, and the 127th Infantr y. Bob retired from the Army in 1978 with a Bronze Star and 3 Purple Heart s. He was a member of the William Verhagen American Legion Post #60 in Kim berly, the Company D-40 Club, the Appleton YMCA and Holy Name Parish.     Mrs. William Platt, Lucille Gr een, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, August 31st at Theda Cla rk Regional Medical Center at the age of 76. She was born December 17t h, 1919 in Appleton and had been a resident of Menasha since 1946. She w as the daughter of William and Blanche (Brady) Green. She was a gradua te of Appleton high-school class of 1937. She and Mr. Platt were marri ed September 20th, 1941. Lucille was a devoted and dedicated wife, moth er and grandmother who found time during her lifetime to serve the communi ty in addition to the family, relatives and friends. During World W ar II she was a nurse's aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. This w as followed by serving as a Red Cross Gray Lady and subsequent servi ce to the Red Cross as a blood bank worker, including chairperson of volun teers. She and her partner Dorothy VanLoo were among the first delivere rs of meals on wheels. This was followed by more than 20 years of servi ce with the Theda Clark Hospital auxiliary. She was still active at the t ime of her death. While her two daughters were growing up, she serv ed as a Brownie leader and cochaired the Buttes des Morts grade scho ol in Menasha PTA with her husband. She taught Bible school at St. Timoth y's Lutheran Church in Menasha while her children were growing up. The fam ily was a member of St. Timothy's from 1946 to 1972 and at St. Paul's Luth eran Church in Neenah since 1972. She sang in both churches choirs for ma ny years and was active in the Lutheran Church Women's Organization, havi ng held of all offices from Circle leader to chair person between the t wo churches. Her civic activities included poll worker, a jury duty, a nd Friends of the Menasha library. She also served on the board of direct ors of the Visiting Nurse Association as well as the Red Cross. She lov ed the change of seasons, particularly fall, and flowers of all kinds. S he will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors are her husband Willia m; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Susan) Petersen, of Glendale, and Nan cy M. Platt of Appleton; two brothers, Donald (Blanche) Green, of Applet on and Robert Green of Kimberly; three grandchildren, Mark William Peters on of Milwaukee, Kristen Elizabeth Peterson of Glendale and Heidi Platt Su ke of Appleton. Also survived by a brother in law Richard Platt (Billi e) Rojean of Dayton Ohio, a sister in law Mrs. Dorothy (Robert) Gruen of H edgesville, West Virginia, a former son-in-law Paul Suke of Appleton. S he was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Blanche Green and h er oldest brother Marvin Greene of Appleton. The funeral will be Wednesd ay at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Neenah with the Rev. All an Krabbe officiating. Entombment will be in the Highland Memorial Park Ap pleton. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be giv en to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, the American Red Cross, Ne enah- Menasha Chapter and Theda Clark Hospital Auxiliary student scholarsh ip program.

    Thomas "Greeny" Green, age 71, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. Greeny was born on November 30, 1942, son of the late Donald and Blanche (Courtois) Green. After graduating from Appleton West High School, he started his career as a repair technician for Miller Electric. Greeny worked there for 35 years. On February 6, 1998, Greeny married the love of his life, Susan Sonnleitner.
    Greeny was everyone's go to guy, giving his 50 cent tours of Appleton and crusin' the Ave in his El Camino. He enjoyed tinkering in the garage and going out to eat on Wednesday mornings with the retired guys from Miller Electric. Greeny was also known for his Sunday morning Big Band radio show as DJ "Dave Scott" on WRJQ. Above all he loved spending time with his family. He was a big guy with a big personality and a heart of gold.
    He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Susan Green; his children David Green, Shane (Josette) Green, and Brenda (Jeff) Krull; as well as his grandchildren Aleigh Jo Green, Samantha Krull and Judge Krull; and his sister Diane (Norman) Miller. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many good friends. Greeny was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Robert Donald Green and Butch Bowers; his brother, James Green; and his parents-in-law, Otto and Martha Sonnleitner.
    The memorial service for Greeny will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton. A time of visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the time of service. Online condolence may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.     Kathleen Puls, 62, Little Chute, passed away unexpectedly after a lengthy illness, Friday, Nov. 11, 2011. She was born Oct. 11, 1949, in Appleton, daughter of Robert and Leona (Van Eperen) Green.
    Kathleen was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Kathy married Steven D. Puls July 15, 1989. She was employed as a school bus driver for several local school districts. Kathy was also employed at Walmart and other local retail stores. She loved scrapbooking and was a Disney enthusiast and enjoying all things associated with Disney. Kathleen loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved to take her grandchildren to Disney World.
    Kathleen is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Angie (Robert) Huettl, Appleton; Robert Voigt and girlfriend, Kristin, Little Chute; Amanda (Jamie) Anderson, Little Chute; eight cherished grandchildren, Erik and Allison; Grace, Brendan and Alyssa; Sierra, Logan and Matthew; three brothers and a sister, Ray (Eileen) Green, New Jersey; Mike Green, Kimberly; Mary (Don) Gerrits, Little Chute; Jeff (Sarah) Green, Oshkosh; a brother-in-law, Mike (Kathy) Puls, Indiana; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles.
    Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, 101 Canal St., Little Chute, with Deacon Don Newhouse officiating. Interment will be in Ostrander Cemetery, New London. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Kathleen's name.
    Kathleen's family wishes to thank Fox Valley Metro Police, Gold Cross Ambulance and the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital Emergency Room for their wonderful care and compassion.
