    Obituary:
    Frances Gerrits, 91, Kaukauna, formerly of Little Chute passed away Thursday, February 15, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born July 29, 1915, in Little Chute, daughter of Arnold and Antoinette (Vander Velden) Hammond. Frances married Joseph N. Gerrits September 23, 1936, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and he preceded her in death November 13, 2006. Mrs. Gerrits was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Frances was employed at Zwicker Knitting Mills, Appleton and the Park Knitting Company, Little Chute for many years. She was also a wonderful seamstress for family and friends. Frances was an avid bike rider with her husband, Joseph and her brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Gladys Van Hammond.
    Mrs. Gerrits is survived by her daughter, Donna Durawa, Green Bay; three grandchildren: Jaye Marie (Thomas) Mortensen, Brookfield; Andrew (Thea) Durawa, Whitefish Bay; James J. Durawa (Ann Brock), Portland, Oregon; five great grandchildren: Lilia, Ella and Anna Mortensen, Xavier and Amara Durawa; Sisters: Lorraine Daniels, Appleton, Mildred Vander Heiden, Kaukauna; brothers-in-law: George Wydeven, Appleton; Tony Gloudemans, Little Chute; many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James E. Durawa; brothers and sisters: Martin (Alice) Van Hammond, Agnes Wydeven, Joseph (Gladys) Van Hammond, Verna Gloudemans, Earl De Bruin, Milton Daniels, Lloyd Vander Heiden; infant brothers and sisters: Johanna, John, Harriet and John Van Hammond; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Harriet (John) Huiting, Agnes (George) Lamers, Harold Gerrits.
    Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2007, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Fr. David J. Funk, OFM Cap. officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. Monday, until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
    The family would like to thank the staff at St. Paul Home and Villa for their care and concern given to Frances.
