Bloch, Jon G.Jon G. Bloch, of Shiocton, age 39, passed away as the result of a tragic a utomobile accident on April 13, 2005. He was born on June 19, 1965, in Kau kauna, son of Peter and Darlene (Reynebeau) Bloch. On June 2, 1995, Jon w as united in marriage to Chris Merkes in Appleton. Jon graduated from Kauk auna High School in 1983 and also from Florida Institute of Technolog y. He and his brother Rob co-own Great Lake Marine Contracting, Inc. in Bl ack Creek. Jon was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a funny, easy-goi ng person who lived life to the fullest. Above all of that, he was an exce ptional husband and the best father there ever was. His family meant every thing to him. He is irreplaceable. Words cannot describe how greatly he wi ll be missed.He is survived by his wife Chris, his young children, his daughter Oliv ia and son Sam; his parents; three brothers: Doug (Hope) Bloch, Hortonvill e; Rob (Heather) Bloch, Combined Locks; Paul (Amy) Bloch, Kaukauna; two si sters: Shelley (Paul) Scherer, Hortonville and Sarah (Jim) Velicer, Sherwo od. He is further survived by his in-laws: mother-in-law Carmen Merkes; fo ur sisters-in-law: Sue (Mike) Hoffmann, Shiocton; Barb (Carl) Miller, Vero na; Joan (Scott Heiman) Merkes, Bear Creek; Jane Merkes, Orland Californi a, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Jon is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents John and Gertrude Bl och; maternal grandparents Frank and Matilda Reynebeau; father-in-law Norb ert Merkes and brother-in-law Daniel Merkes.The funeral Mass for Jon will be held on Monday April 18, 2005, at 10 a. m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna with Fr. Jack Mullarkey offic iating. Burial will be in the St. Denis-Bovina Cemetery in Shiocton. Frien ds may call at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton on Sunday, A pril 17, 2005, from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. unt il the time of service.
