Obituary:
James R. Vandenberg, Boulder City, NV, age 51, passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, April, 16, 2014. Jim was born on February 11, 1963 to Robert (Casey) and Judith (Wright) Vandenberg. He grew up in Freedom, attending Freedom Elementary Grade School and Freedom High School. Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and the Packers. Jim adored his children and granddaughter and loved to spend time with them. Jim was a loving and carefree man who always put others first.
Jim will be dearly missed by his parents, Casey and Judith; wife, Beth; daughters, Allison and Taylor; granddaughter, Adelyn Mae; siblings, Kenneth and Kathleen, and Godmother Anna Mae Huss. Jim is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents Ed (Punkin) and Mary (Geurts) Vandenberg, Charles and Phyllis (Hurley) Wright and Godfather Emil Huss.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014 at ST. NICHOLAS CHURCH (W2037 County Road S, Freedom) beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 12:00 p.m. The Rev. Daniel Felton will officiate.
Jim, thanks for always being there for us. Now go have a Manhattan with Emil in heaven. You will be forever in our hearts.
