    Mrs. John Bomber, 61, 1250 Cass Street, died at 3:45 this morning at a local hospital after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband, one son, William at home, one daughter, Mrs. Alphonse Le Comte, Green Bay; seven grandchildren; eight sisters, Mrs. Matt Vanden Langenberg, Mrs. Adrian Smith, Sr. Martha, Mrs. Henry Deschane, Miss Nellie Kuipers, Mrs Martin Van Laanen, Mrs. Elmer Deschane, and Miss Genevieve Kuipers, all of Green Bay and vicinity, and by three brothers, Martin, Will, and Frank Kuipers.

The former Mary Kuipers married Mr. Vanden Langenberg 65 years ago at Bay Settlement. The couple farmed there and in the town of Humboldt until retiring and moving to Green Bay 26 years ago.

    Martin Kuipers Dies At Bay Settlement
    Martin Kuipers, 87-year-old Bay Settlement resident died at his home 9:30 Sunday evening. He had been stricken since Thursday with influenza and pneumonia. The deceased was born in Bay Settlement and married the former Ann Peters, New Franken, 38 years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name society of Holy Cross Church.
    Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Sylvester, at home; five daughters, Mrs. Leo Zehren, Mrs. Edward Hooper, Frances and Lorraine, Green Bay; Mrs. Henry Konshak, De Pere; six grand children; two brothers, William and Frank, Green Bay; and seven sisters, Mrs. Matt Vandenlangenberg, Mrs. Elizabeth Smith, Mrs. Henry Deschane and Mrs. Elmer Deschane, Green Bay; Sister Martha, Good Shepherds Home; Genevieve, Green Bay; and Mrs. Martin Van Laanen, Bay Settlement.
    The body is at the Dupont-Malcore Funeral Home, where the rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight and Tuesday night. The Holy Name Society will attend Tuesday night.     Sister Mary of St. Martha, Monastery of Our Lady of Charity, died Thursday from a cerebral thrombosis at the monastary. Born Dec. 3, 1882, in Bay Settlement, she was the former Delia Kuypers. She entered the novitiate here Nov. 21, 1906. Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Matt Loginburg, Mrs Adrian Smith, Mrs. Henry Dushane, Mrs. Elmer Dushane and Miss Genevieve Kuypers, all of Green Bay; Mrs Martin Van Laanen, New Franken, and two brothers, William and Frank, both of Green Bay. The body will be brought to the monastery, 918 Porter St. at 1:30 Saturday afternoon after which relatives and friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 Monday morning at the convent. Sarah was born Aug. 21, 1916, in B ay Settlement, daughter of the late Martin and Antoinette (Kuipers) Van La nen. She married Edmund Vandenhoven at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Au g. 31, 1946. Sarah and Edmund farmed together in the town of Bellevue f or over 32 years and she was a faithful member for 46 years at St. Phil ip the Apostle Catholic Church. Sarah was a member of the V.F.W. Auxilia ry Post #9677, the Third Order of St. Francis, the Ladies Altar Socie ty at St. Philip’s and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She was also record ing secretary for over 40 years for the National Catholic Society of Fores ters St. Claire Court #1102. Born on the family homestead on May 29, 1921, he is the s on of the late Martin and Antoinette (Kuipers) Van Lanen. Don graduated fr om East High School. He married the former Genevieve Vandenack on June 1 7, 1950, at SS. Peter and Paul Church and she preceded him in death on Au g. 21, 2001. The couple farmed the Van Lanen homestead all their married l ife until they retired in the 1990's. During this time he also was a devot ed school bus driver for 25 years. Don was a life-long member of Holy Cro ss Church, Bay Settlement. He will be remembered for his enjoyment of anim als, the outdoors and farming. (Green Bay Area). She married John Burckle on Sept. 6, 1952, in Green Bay. Verna was a full-time homemaker and enjoyed cooking, reading and bridge. She especially enjoyed learning southern cooking and widespread travel.
    Survivors include her husband, Jack, Wausau; and son, Richard, New Berlin; and many nieces and nephews in the Green Bay area.
    Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Church of St. Anne's, 700 W. Bridge St., Wausau, with Rev. Steven J. Brice officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

    Lorraine Rosella Albers, age 88, of De Pere, passed away October 30, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of the late Charles and Mayme (VanDenLangenberg) Linssen was born February 4, 1927 in Bellevue. She was united in marriage to Louis Albers on November 23, 1950 at St. Phillip Catholic Church in Green Bay, and he preceded her in death on November 6, 2006. Lorraine was a life-long member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Christian Ladies group. Lorraine was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing cards, word searches, cross stitching, being outdoors and always looked forward to the 4th of July annual Linssen family reunion.
    Survivors include her children: Richard (Darlene) Albers, Franklin, WI; Joy (Larry) Watruba, Bellevue; Roger (Cindy) Albers, Savannah, GA; Jim (Judy) Albers, De Pere; Judi (Rudy) Jarvey, Green Bay; eight very special grandchildren: Todd (Tracy), Tara (Sean), Ryan (special friend Tamara), Eric (Andrea), Zach, Kurt (Annie), Josh (fiancé Carlie), Nathan; step grand-children: Terry Johnson and Traye (Quade) Guillory; great-grandchildren: Felicity, Addison, Brenna, Braylon, Isla, Grace; step-great-grandchildren: Toby, Tylei and Allie; sisters and brothers: Beatrice Henrigillis, Eunice Kocken, Bernard (Carole) Linssen, Marion Rukamp, Ruth (Robert) Beining, Ralph (Joyce) Linssen, Beverly (Richard) Huxford and Kenneth (fiancé Carla) Linssen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Russell Schmude, Joanne Linssen, Audrey Albers and Agatha Albers; nieces, nephews and other family.
    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant brother Gabriel; siblings: Alvina Schoessow, Marcella Schmude and Merlin Linssen.
    Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave., De Pere, on Tuesday, November 3, from 4-7pm with a parish prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, from 9:30-10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am Wednesday with the Rev.     Rodney "Pudge" Van Lanen, 55, a Green Bay resident, died unexpectedly Monday, November 9, 2015, at a local hospital. He was born January 26, 1960, in Green Bay to the late Orville and Irene (VandenHouten) Van Lanen. Pudge attended Preble High School, graduating in 1978. He was employed by DeGroot Construction from 1978 until 1994. Pudge was then employed by the Green Bay Water Utility until his retirement this past year. He also owned and operated Affordable Lawn Care, as well as an antique dealer. Pudge was a longtime member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, loving father and grandfather.
    He is survived by two daughters, Vanessa Van Lanen and Chantel Van Lanen, both of Green Bay; their mother, Sandra Van Lanen, Florida; He was blessed with two granddaughters, Kaylee Jones and Aleigha Rathbun, who were the apples of his eyes; seven siblings, Milton (Jean) Van Lanen, Barbara (Peter) Beyer, Shirley Huxford, all of Green Bay; Sandie (Paul) Dorner, Luxemburg; David Van Lanen, Green Bay; Michael (Patti) Van Lanen, New Franken; Loretta (Alvin) Beyer, New Franken; his Godfather and Uncle, John Burckle, Wausau; his fiancee, Judi Pekarek, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Van Lanen, an infant sister, Theresa; his fiancée, Mary Porod, many aunts and uncles.
    Friends may call at the Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason Street, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 743 S. Monroe Ave., after 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Paul Schleis officiating. Burial in Mellen Township Cemetery, Wallace, Michigan. On-line condolences may be sent to the Van Lanen family at www.prokowall.com. In lieu of floral expressions, a memorial fund had been established.
