    Obituary:
    Jerome J. Sigl, 81, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. He was born in Appleton on Dec. 23, 1925, to William and Marie (Kuehne) Sigl. Jerry graduated from Shiocton High School class of 1944. In June of 1946, he enlisted in the Air Force was discharged in July of 1949. He married Erma Voeks Jan. 5, 1957, in Appleton, she passed away in November of 1972. In 1973, Jerry married Mary Wingrove-Lausman. They enjoyed 30 years together until Mary passed away in August of 2003. Jerry was a generous giving person, who would do anything for anyone. He loved his God, his country and his family and friends. Getting together with family and friends was one of Jerry's greatest enjoys. He enjoyed playing cards, and games, watching sports, reading, and seeing the country. To sit by John's fire pit during any given evening was a great pleasure to him, he had a very special relationship with his step-son, John and wife, Gretchen.
    Jerome is survived by three step-children, Tom (Babs) Lausman, Mackville; John (Gretchen) Lausman, Chillicothe, Ohio; Kathy (Terry) Hurley, Combined Locks; grandchildren, Jennifer (Patrick) Bruss, Chad (Jamie) Lausman, Allison (Patrick) Rusch, Joseph (Jodi) Hurley, Bryan Lausman, Willie Lausman, Mary Lausman; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Cyril (Yvonne) Sigl, Shiocton; Clement Sigl, Neenah; a sister; Gladys Wry, Seymour and a sister-in-law, Dorothy LaRue.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wilber and Norbert Sigl and a sister, Irene Schnabl.
    A memorial mass will be held at St Bernadette's Catholic church Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of Service.
    The family would like to thank the ladies at Century Oaks for the care they gave to Jerry.
    Jerry never complained about the sadness in his life. He knew that his God was with him and would carry him through. He was a wonderful man.

    Gladys D. Wry, 87, of Black Creek, passed away early Friday morning, December 11, 2015 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home. She was born January 23, 1928 daughter of the late William and Marie (Klitzke) Sigl. On October 6, 1951, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Wry. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1987.
    Gladys was a cook at Black Creek Elementary School for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Black Creek where she was the head cook in the kitchen for various church events and was also involved as a CCD teacher. She also was a member of the Vicariate and St. Vincent DePaul. Gladys was a member of the Black Creek American Legion Auxillary.
    She is survived by her children: Barbara Wry, Council Grove, KS; William (Jodi) Wry, Black Creek; Brenda Wry (Dan) Wochinski, New London; grandson, Andrew (Amy) Wry, Black Creek; and 2 great-granddaughters: Adalyn and Amelia.
    Gladys is preceded in death by her 5 brothers: Clem, Jerome, Norbert, Wilbur, and Cyril; and a sister, Irene Schnabl.

    Caroline Jean Staerkel, age 76, born to eternal life on April 18, 2015. Carole was born in the Town of Osborne, Outagamie County, Wisconsin to Ferdinand and Catherine (Ehlinger) Sigl, on October 26, 1938. Upon the death of her father in January, 1939, her mother moved the family to Oconto Falls, WI, where Carole grew up and attended St. Anthony's Grade School and Oconto Falls High School.
    On October 29, 1955, Carole married Emory Lloyd Elbe. Together, they had six wonderful children they loved very much, including: Emory J., Donna J., Thomas E., Joseph R., and Paul D. One son, Richard "Ricky" H., died at the age of 6 on November, 1, 1967. Her husband Emory L., died at the age of 67 on June 5, 1999.
    Carole met Gerald E. Staerkel while doing what she enjoyed, serving God's children in need at Fr. Carr's Place 2B in Oshkosh. Carole and Gerald married on May 18, 2002, at St. Gabriel's Church in Neenah. Carole considered Gerald the love of her life and they continued to do volunteer work at Fr. Carr's and in the Neenah/Oshkosh area up until the time of her death.
    In the 1960s, Carole worked nights at Bradtke's Restaurant in Neenah while raising her children. In 1972, with the help of her husband Emory, she originated Theda Clark Credit Union in the basement level of Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah to provide financial services to the hospital employees. Carole grew Theda Clark Credit Union into a stand-alone office on N. Water Street in Neenah and renamed it Valley Health Credit Union serving health care employees throughout the area. She was eventually named manager, then President/CEO and worked there until her retirement in 2001.
    Carole enjoyed many years of activities around her children, and spending time at Shawano Lake relaxing and fishing over the years. She also enjoyed traveling the USA to see God's great works in the beauty of the country. She even made a visit to the Town of Elbe, Washington.
    Upon Emory's death, Carole devoted her time to her church and to serving God by helping His children in need throughout the area. Her passion became Father Carr's Place 2B. Carole and Gerald would pick up bakery and other products at local stores to bring to Father Carr's. They spent countless hours giving hope to those who needed it.
    Grandma Carole also enjoyed going to the sporting events of her grandchildren. She was frequently seen at local basketball, baseball and softball games. From cheering on her grandchildren through youth sports, to when they played in high school and even when they were in college. One of her favorite pastimes was cheering on the Neenah Rockets and supporting her grandchildren. Her last Rocket basketball game was on February 24, 2015.
    Carole was a constant fixture at St. Gabriel's church. She served communion, assisted at church fundraisers and was a member of the Adoration Team praying at St. Margaret Mary's parish in Neenah. She did these activities until her loss of memory began to affect her. Carole had been diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Carole remained at home, where her husband Gerald was an angel taking care of her until her health forced her to move to assisted living in March, 2015.
    Carole is survived by her husband Gerald, five of her children - Emory J. (Paula), DeForest, WI; Donna J. Smith (special friend, John), Neenah; Thomas E., Neenah: Joseph R. (Julie), Neenah; and Paul D. (Kathy), Crandon, WI.; grandchildren - E. Tyrone, Tanya & Alex; Noah; David, Cassandra, Thomas & Rachel; and Stephanie, Elizabeth, Andrew & Matthew; and great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Marie (Wally) McDonald, Abrams, WI; two brothers, Franklin (Karen) Sigl, Tampa, FL, and Hubert (Karla) Sigl, Oakland, OR; a sister-in-law Lois Elbe, Green Bay, WI; a brother-in-law Donald A. (Jean) Staerkel, Oshkosh, WI, and two sister-in-laws, Marge Staerkel, Oshkosh, WI and RuthAnn (Jerry) Uebele, Hartford, WI. Carole is further survived by Gerald's children - Jeff, Doug, Kim, Troy and Trent; Gerald's grandchildren - Kerrie, Tonya, Paul, Amber, Morgan, Mackenzie, Amanda, Nathan, Julie, Jessie, Adam, Devon, Shannon, and Sherry; and Gerald's great grandchildren. Lastly, Carole is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
    Known for her bright smile, Carole was known by many throughout the community for her willingness to donate time to help others. She lived a full live, with love and compassion for others. Carole also had a love for the best pizza around...Sammy's Pizza in Neenah.
    Funeral services will be 11:30 am on Monday, April 27, 2015, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah with Father Larry Seidl officiating.     Vandenberg, Lucille N. "Ceil"
    Lucille Vandenberg, (Little Light), 84, Little Chute, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 22, 2011, with her loving family present. She was born in Seymour on July 11, 1926 to the late Herbert and Helen (Raymakers) Sigl. On September 7, 1946 Lucille married the love of her life, Gordon "Butch" Vandenberg in Freedom, where they resided before settling in Little Chute. Butch preceded her in death on June 2, 1972. She was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. Ceil was a skilled seamstress, gifted in knitting and crocheting. She dedicated many years sewing baptismal gowns for St. John's Parish and knitting hundreds of baby caps for St. Elizabeth Hospital. She actively supported Rebuilding Together Fox Valley, an organization her late son John co-founded. Her backyard flower garden and magnolia tree provided her great pleasure. For over 20 years, Lucille worked at Hallmark on Main, Little Chute.
    Lucille is survived by her children: Jean (Tom) Langenhuizen, Kimberly; Jane (Dennis) Hooyman, Kimberly; Ron (Chris Keyes) Vandenberg, Dewey, OK; Tom (Ann) Vandenberg, Little Chute; Beth (Frank) Sprangers, Sherwood; Nancy Vandenberg, Appleton; 12 grandchildren: Karyn (Rick) Rittenhouse, West Allis; Melanie Hooyman, DePere; Tricia Hooyman, Grafton (fianc?     Gerald H. "Jerry" Sigl, age 88, of Little Chute, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 13, 1927, son of the late Herbert and Helen (Raymakers) Sigl. On May 6, 1950, Jerry married Verna DeBruin at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute.
    Jerry worked at Consolidated Papers in Appleton for 36 years before his retirement. He enjoyed going up north to his cottage, hunting, fishing, playing cards and going to the casino. He always loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Jerry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Verna; his sons: Bob (Diane), Dick (Mary) and Ron Sigl; 4 grandchilren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Janice (Gary) Ziesemer; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ione Geerts and Ron (Carol) DeBruin; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Lucille (Gordon) Vandenberg, Betty Sigl and James Sigl; brothers and sisters-in-law: Rosalia (Henry) St. Louis, Rita (Bob) Lally, Tom Geerts, Betty (Ed) Sturm and Mervin (Doris) DeBruin.

    Corrine (Connie) Radichel 84, of Hortonville, passed away June 13, 2015, at Brewster Village with her family at her side.
    She was born September 13, 1930, in Hortonville to the late Raymond and Viola (Roberts) Scholl. On October 14, 1950 Connie married Kenneth Radichel at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville. She worked at Appleton State Bank for many years and was the Hortonville Village Clerk for three years until her retirement. She was active in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Ladies Aid and other activities of the church and was treasurer for the Thursday Ladies Golf League for three years. She enjoyed golfing, reading, playing cards, watching her soap operas, and doing her crossword puzzles.
    Connie is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Krowas, Baileys Harbor; a son, Charles (Lisa) Radichel, Appleton; grandchildren, Kirsten, Erich (Rebecca), Hilary, and Andrew Krowas, Angela (Eric) Neumann, Anthony (Cristina) Radichel, and Gina Radichel; step-grandchildren, Charles (Julie) and Maria Williams; great-grandchildren, Maddox Neumann, Kaleb Radichel, Harper, Landon, Liam Krowas, and Aubrey Yarl; step-great-grandchildren, Kiarra & Zjonti Kubinski, and Mikayla Williams.     John G. Vandenberg, Evergreen Drive, KukaunaAge 50, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2001 while vacationi ng in Oconto County. John was born in Appleton on June 22, 1951, son of t he late Gordon Vandenberg and Lucille (Sigl) Vandenberg of Little Chut e. On May 10, 1974, John married the former Nancy DeGroot at Holy Name Chu rch in Kimberly; she survives. In 1981, John and Nancy founded Northern Co mfort Industries in Kaukauna. He was currently serving as the preside nt of Rebuilding Together -- Fox Valley Affiliate and was a member and for mer board member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (N .A.R.I.). John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing wi th friends. He was also a captain and 25-year member of the Town of Vanden broek/Town of Kaukauna Fire and Rescue Department.Survivors include his wife: Nancy Vandenberg of Kaukauna; a daughter: Kris tin Vandenberg of Oshkosh; two sons: Gordon "Bucky" Vandenberg of Seymo ur and Timothy "Ogre" Vandenberg of Kaukauna; his mother: Lucille Vandenbe rg of Little Chute; two brothers: Ron Vandenberg of Oklahoma and Tom (An n) Vandenberg of Little Chute and their daughters Rebecca, Katie, and Laur a; three sisters: Jane (Dennis) Hooyman of Kimberly and their daughters Me lanie and Tricia; Jean (Tom) Langenhuizen of Kimberly and their daughter K aryn; Beth (Frank) Sprangers of Sherwood and their daughters Emily, Ashle y, and Melissa.     Steven M. Anderson, "Zero", age 43, of Neenah died Monday, April 19, 2004 following a traffic accident. He was born November 15, 1960 in Appleton, son of Robert and Margaret (Goodhall) Anderson. Steven was employed at Stora Enso, Kimberly and was a member of PACE International Union Local #4850. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Zero was a free spirit who enjoyed hunting, the outdoors and lumber jacking. Steven now joins his dog Mack in heaven.
    Steven is survived by his mother and step-father: Margaret (Jerry) Schink, Appleton; three brothers: William Anderson, Manitowoc; Gary (Brenda) Anderson, Darboy; John (Sara) Anderson, Menasha; nieces and nephews: Donny (Lisa) Anderson, Josh and Jason Anderson, all of Kaukauna; Amber Anderson, Darboy; Tyler and Emilie Anderson, Menasha; aunt and uncles: Russ (Regina) Goodhall, Tom (Sheila) Anderson, Audrey Goodhall, Bernice Anderson; great aunts and great uncles, other relatives and many friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, maternal and paternal grandparents and two uncles.
    Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2004 at the Verkuilen Funeral Home with Rev. Larry W. Matthews officiating. Interment will be in Trinity Cemetery, Kaukauna. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
