    Sanders, Raymond M., AppletonRay, age 62, died Thursday January 29, 2004 in Appleton after a courageo us battle with cancer. Ray was born December 9, 1941 in Appleton to the la te Edward and Eleanora (Boldt) Sanders Sr. and has been an Appleton reside nt all of his life. Ray graduated at Appleton West High School with the cl ass of 1960. Ray then proudly served his country with the United States A ir Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member and past offic er of the Appleton American Legion Post #38. Ray was employed and a form er owner of Trio Refrigeration in Neenah, working there for close to 40 ye ars until his health forced his retirement. He loved the outdoors, especia lly hunting with his good friends up north. Ray will be sadly missed by h is daughter Brenda Kindred, Sussex, WI; two sons: Dale (Jennifer) Sander s, Appleton; Dean (Kelly) Cotter-Leischow, Minatonka, MN; five grandchildr en; a brother Edward Sanders Jr., Appleton; two sisters: Mary (David) Koep sel, Appleton; and Karen (Hank) Grishaber, Appleton. Ray is further surviv ed by many nieces and nephews, his best friend Mark Scribner, Appleton; a nd his good friend and former wife Karen Cotter. Ray was preceded in dea th by his parents and a brother Jimmy Sanders. A Funeral Liturgy will be h eld at 7 p.m. Monday February 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. F remont St., Appleton, with the Rev. Robert Karuhn officiating. Friends m ay call directly at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Milit ary Honors will follow. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Par k. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family wo uld like to express a special thank you to the staff at the Martha Siekm an Cancer Center, St. Elizabeth Hospital Oncology, and the nurses at Affin ity Hospice.Brettschneider Trettin Lederer606 N.
