    Joseph W. Marx, 65, of Hilbert died Saturday morning after a short illness at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton.
    Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hilbert/ The Rev. Charles Juckem of St. Nazianz will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
    Mr. Marx was born Oct. 24, 1900, in the Town of Woodville, Calumet County son of the late John and Anna Zahringer Marx. He was a barber at Hilbert for 35 years. He married Mary Diedrich Oct. 11, 1937. at Hilbert. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society.
    He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Duane Sweere, of Hilbert; three brothers, John of Minneapolis, Jacob, of Rt. 2, Hilbert and William of Kaukauna; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Halback, of Sherwood and Mrs. Lawrence Thiel, of Rt. 2, Hilbert and five grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Kapitzke Funeral Home, Hilbert, where the Rosary will be recited 8 o'clock this Monday evening by the Rev. John Schmitt.

    Arthur Nickolas Zahringer, age 87, Stockbridge, WI, passed away on Jan. 11, 2008.
    Art was born on Dec. 6, 1920, the son of Clara (Daniel) and William Zahringer, in Stockbridge. He graduated from the Stockbridge High School in 1938 and entered into the U.S. Army Air Corp Division in 1942. He defended our nation in World War II as a glider co-pilot with the 15th Troop Carrier Squadron and fought in North Africa and Europe and was awarded five battle stars. Art returned home in October 1945 and married Dorothy Nickel on May 15, 1946. They shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Art and Dorothy ran Dot and Art's 55 Cafe in Sherwood for 3 years while also farming in Stockbridge. They sold the cafe when they were blessed with Randy and Cindy, their two children. Art continued to farm in Stockbridge until 1982 when he retired.
    During his years of farming, Art also worked in his own white washing business, tended bar at Hickory Hills, served as a Deputy Sheriff in Calumet County and was a Dance Hall Inspector. He was a member of the School Board at the Stockbridge High School, on the Board of Directors for the Calumet County Hospital, Charter Member of the Brickyard Fishing Club and American Legion Post in Stockbridge. Art enjoyed playing cards, fishing and hunting, sports and traveling with Dorothy on many vacations in their retirement. He enjoyed spending time with Dorothy and the family, especially his grandchildren. He was a wonderful man who touched many lives with his jokes, laughter, and friendship.
    He is further survived by his son Randy (Laura) Stockbridge, his daughter Cindy, Fargo, ND, his grandchildren - Jackie, Joe (Holly), Emily, Alexis, Wyatt and Matthew. His brother Sylvester (Doris) Zahringer, Stockbridge. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Matthew and Hugo, two sisters, Martha Schoen and Emma Zahringer, and sister-in-law Ceil Hopfensburger.
    Funeral service will be at 11:15 a.m. on Monday Jan. 14, 2008, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge with the Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery.

    Sylvester H. "Wimp" Zahringer, age 88, of Stockbridge, died on Thursday, January 03, 2013, at his home in the Town of Stockbridge. He was born February 7, 1924 in the Town of Stockbridge, son of the late William & Clara (Daniels) Zahringer.
    Sylvester honorably served his country at the end of WWII in the United States Army. Following his discharge, he returned to the Stockbridge area where he married the love of his life, Doris Hemauer, on June 12, 1952.
    Until his retirement in the late 1990's, he farmed in the Stockbridge area and worked a time for J&E Construction. Wimp was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Stockbridge, the Stockbridge American Legion, and was a longtime member of the Brickyard Fishing Club.
    He enjoyed hunting & fishing, and looked forward to a good game of Poker or Sheepshead when he and Doris held card club. Sylvester also treasured the trips he was able to take to the Grandview 'Hilton', his cabin located up north with all of the amenities he could ask for.
    Wimp was the king of one-liners and often had something comical to say while visiting with friend or stranger; chances are if you had ever had a conversation with him, you left with a new nickname.
    Survivors include his wife: Doris; his children: Jane (Charlie) Propson, Laura (Bill) Baldock, Barb (David) Woelfel, Bill (Donna) Zahringer, Gary (Debbie) Zahringer, Tom (Amy) Zahringer, Julie (Dean) Schroeder; 21 grandchildren: Dan, Tina (Ken), Nathan (Shantel), Tara (Nick), Becka, Spring, Nick (Anna), Shane (Shari) Eric (Amanda), Wes, Melissa, Zachary, Andy (Jennie), Tracy (Bryan), Brad, Jeff, Angela, Kati, Kristi (Matt), Jill (Mike), Mitchell; 21 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Dorothy Zahringer, Rosemary (Robert) Parsons, Betty Hemauer, Dorothy Hemauer; and a brother-in-law: John (Jean) Hemauer.     Mary Ellen V. Sanders, Kaukauna, age 75, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born on August 15, 1938 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late William and Sally (Derfus) Marx. On June 3, 1961 she was united in marriage to Thomas Sanders at St. Mary Catholic Church and together they celebrated 26 years of marriage. Thomas preceded her in death in 1988. Mary Ellen was employed in the Sales Department of Kaukauna Cheese Co. for 30 years until her retirement. She was a longstanding member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Mary Ellen enjoyed playing cards with her friends every Monday and looked forward to being with family and friends.

    Donald J. Halbach, age 82, was born to eternal life surrounded by his family Saturday, April 16, 2011. Don was a resident of American Grand Assistant Living in Kaukauna. He was born in St. John on June 9, 1928, to the late Raymond Sr. and Mary (Marx) Halbach. Don married Ethel Otte on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1952, at St. Therese Parish in Appleton. He owned and operated Hi-Way 55 Auto Sales, south of Kaukauna for 48 years. Don proudly served in the Air Force and was a member of the Sherwood V.F.W. Post.
    He was a dedicated volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul in Kaukauna, where he was a founding member. Don was a volunteer firefighter with the Harrison Fire Department #2. He was also a charter member of St. Aloysius Parish in Kaukauna. Don loved sturgeon spearing and belonged to the Lake Park Sportsmans Club. He collected cars and was an avid Brewers, Cubs and Packers fan. Through the years, Don sponsored cars at WIR and Apple Creek Raceway. Don loved music, especially polkas, and Lawrence Welk.

    Jeanette Isabelle Ott, age 82, of the town of Brillion, passed away comfortably on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at her home with her children by her side. Jeanette was born on January 16, 1932, daughter of the late Ray and Mary (Marx) Halbach of Sherwood. She married Leo M. Ott on February 5, 1963. He preceded her in death on January 2, 2002. She enjoyed life with Leo, especially their entire married life on the family farm until he retired. Jeanette worked at Van Abel's Supper Club as the pastry baker for many years and enjoyed that time until she retired at the age of 78. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great grandson that is due in May. Jeanette was always known for her kind heart and generosity. She would help anyone who needed it, often with her wonderful cooking and kind words.
    Survivors include her children; Robert (Michelle) Coisman, Cathy (Bill) Knifke, Chris (Ken) Kelch, her grandchildren; Robert (girlfriend Krystal) Coisman, Justin (girlfriend Brittany) and Derek Knifke, Nathan Wickerscheim, Chad and Troy Coisman; her siblings; Al "Crash" Halbach, Rosie Propson, Annie Olson, Sr. Margaret Mary Halbach, Ray (Marilyn) Halbach; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Halbach, her husband, Leo, her children Don Coisman, JoAnn Coisman, Mary Theresa Coisman, and Susan Coisman, her siblings, William (Joyce) Halbach, Donald (Ethel) Halbach, Lucille (Adrian) Mader, Eugene "Smokey" (Joan) Halbach, Jerry Halbach, and James "Butch" Halbach, in-laws, Norb Propson, Neil Olson, and Mert Halbach and other in-laws.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 6 at Sacred Heart Parish in Sherwood. The Rev. Mike Betley will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:30 p.m. A prayer service will conclude the visitation on Wednesday evening.     Conduct Last Rites For Girl at St. John Hilbert - The funeral of Elaine, five-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Lawrence Thiel was held at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. John.     Obituary:
    Donald "Don" Daniel Coisman, age 59, of town of Brillion, passed away comfortably with his family at his side following a valiant battle with cancer.
    Don was July 1, 1953 in Neenah, son of Jeanette (Halbach) Ott and the late Leo Ott. He was full of life when he was fishing with his friends, especially his best friend John Hammon. Don was always helping his family and friends when he was able. Family was very important to him.
    Survivors include his two sons, Troy Coisman and Chad Coisman; his mother, Jeanette Ott; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Chris (Ken) Kelch and Cathy (Bill) Knifke; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob (Michelle) Coisman; four nephews, Nathan Wickersheim, Robert Coisman, Justin Knifke, and Derek Knifke, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his dad, Leo and his sisters, JoAnn, Mary Theresa, and Susan.
    A Memorial Mass will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Mike Betley.
    Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass at 6:00 p.m.
    The family wishes to thank the Calumet County Hospice Caregivers, especially Chris and Holly. Their care was exceptional and eased his passing. Also, thank you to all of the family and friends that sent prayers for Don and to the rest of us.

    Craig Uitenbroek, 19, Darboy, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 19, 2010, as a result of an accident. Craig was born on October 15, 1991. He was a 2010 graduate of Kimberly High School and a member of Holy Spirit Parish, Darboy. He worked this summer at Plexus and was pumped up to venture into his dream career as an electrician.
    Craig will be greatly missed by his parents, Leo and Jane Uitenbroek; his sisters, Leanne and Kelli; maternal grandparents, Ray and Ceil McCormick; paternal grandmother, Irene Uitenbroek; Godparents, Mary Joosten and Lee Schiedermayer. He is also survived by numerous supportive aunts, uncles, and 39 first cousins who were all close friends. Craig was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Denis Uitenbroek.
    The funeral liturgy for Craig will be held at 12 p.m. at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - DARBOY, W5831 Hwy KK, on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, with Fr. David Beaudry officiating. Burial will take place at Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy. Visitation will be held Monday at Jansen Fargo Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. and again at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass.
