Bacheller, Laurence F.
Laurence F. Bacheller, of New London formerly of Bear Creek, age 97, pass ed away on Monday, August 7, 2006, at the home at which he grew up, in Be ar Creek. Laurence was born on January 15, 1909, son of the late Frank a nd Charlotte (Rand) Bacheller. He was united in marriage to Victoria Wrig ht on June 14, 1947. He attended Coffee Bridge School and went to UW-Madis on for an Agriculture short course. Laurence farmed his entire life and en joyed cutting wood, gardening, fishing and making maple syrup.
He is survived by his wife Victoria; his children: Mary (Bob) Tuma, Boscob el; Janet (Jeff) Wenner, Bear Creek; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Fenske) Ba cheller, Neenah; his grandchildren: Bryan Bacheller, Tampa, Florida; Chris topher Wenner, Bear Creek; Nicole Wenner, Bear Creek; Billy Wenner, Bear C reek; Kristy Tuma, La Crosse; Karla Tuma, Boscobel; great-grandchildren, M adison and Brienna Bacheller, Tampa, Florida; in-laws: Norman (Ruth) Wrigh t, Neenah; Kenny (Lorraine) Wright, Indiana. He is further survived by ma ny nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Lester, Charlie, Co ra (Hiram) Meyer, and Irving; a son Bill; and also numerous brothers-in-l aw and sisters-in-law.
Funeral services for Laurence will be held on Friday, August 11, 200 6, at 11 a.m. at United Methodist Church in New London with Rev. Lucret ia Fehrmann officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hill Cemetery. Frien ds may call at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of servic e.

Duane H. Meyer, age 84 of the Township of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton.
Duane was born on August 23, 1927 in the Township of Greenville, Outagamie County, the son of the late Hiram and Cora (Bacheller) Meyer. His family moved to Sherwood and then to Omro where Duane had some of his fondest childhood memories. In 1937 the family moved to the Township of Deer Creek. In the summer of 1945, Duane met Alice "Babe" Guyette. The couple married on August 27, 1947 at St. Denis Catholic Church, Shiocton. They lived in the Township of Maine, Outagamie County for three years until they build a home on Duane's father's farmland in the Township of Deer Creek. This is where the couple also raised three children and lived the rest of their married life. Duane had worked at the Neenah Foundry for 40 years until his retirement. Alice "Babe" preceded her husband in death on March 16, 2007 after 59 years of marriage. Duane was a member of the Maranatha Baptist Church, Township of Navarino, Shawano County where he served as usher and volunteered his time at yard care. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, camping trips, and vacations in Colorado and Indiana. He loved music and enjoyed playing the accordion and harmonica. Duane loved the Lord and accepted Christ as his Savior in 1974. He will be deeply missed by all.
Survivors include: His daughters: Susan (Leon) Mills, Clintonville; Debb (Jim) Crandall, Eaton, CO; His son: John D. (Donna) Meyer, Anderson, IN; His grandchildren: John W. (Erica) Meyer & Scott A. (Stacy) Meyer, Elwood, IN; Michelle (Andrew) Thomas, Hortonville; Amy (Ryan) Bobula, Dale; His great-grandchildren: Katie, Jenny, Abby & Cassie Thomas, Scott J. & Annie Meyer and Ashton Bobula. His brothers: Leon (Bina) Meyer, New London; Clyde (Gladys) Meyer, Bear Creek; Wesley "Scott" (Mickey) Meyer, Oneida, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Alice "Babe".
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, November 4, 2011at the Maranatha Baptist Church, Township of Navarino, Shawano County with the Rev. Gregory Sorensen officiating. Interment will follow in the Danish Cemetery, Township of Deer Creek, Outagamie County.
Friends may call at the church on Friday from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
