    Sister Elizabeth Linders, 69, died early Tuesday evening, October 28, 1986 at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Monday at Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Flavian Blong O.F.M. Cap., and burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Sister Elizabeth was born February 12, 1917 at West DePere, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Peter and Clara Sausen Linders. The former Catherine Elizabeth Linders entered the Convent in 1939, professing her vows in 1942. Sister Elizabeth was a Homemaker at St. John's, Wellsburg, West Virginia; St. Paul's Home, Kaukauna, Wisconsin; Holy Rosary, Kewaunee, Wisconsin; St. Francis, Petoskey, Minnesota; Marist Seminary, Washington, D.C.; St. Peter's, Ashton, Wisconsin and St. Joseph, Oneida, Wisconsin. She also worked in the kitchen at Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc for 15 years. Since her illness in March, 1986, she has been residing at Holy Family Convent.     Louise M. Van Boxtel, 90, of Seymour, passed away Sunday Morning, February 26, 2017. She was born May 6, 1926, daughter of the late Peter and Clara (Sausen) Linders. On May 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to Raymond Van Boxtel in Oneida.
    Louise was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. She enjoyed to cook and was an excellent cook, loved living on the farm and her chores, animals, gardening and enjoyed the outdoors.

    Florence M. Linders, formerly of De Pere, died unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, at Hampton Manor. She was born July 13, 1930, in the Twsp. of Hobart, to the late Peter and Clara (Sausen) Linders. She was a longtime resident of De Pere and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Florence loved flowers, and enjoyed gifts and letters from her family and friends. She liked when company came to visit. Collecting dolls and watching television were things she also enjoyed. Florence did beautiful craft work in her younger years.

    Her sisters survive her; Louise (Ray) Van Boxtel, Seymour; Evelyn Van Boxtel - Hug, Freedom; Mary Lou Puls, Milwaukee; Patricia (Richard) Przybylski, Pulaski; and a brother, Bernard (Donna) Linders, Lincoln, Neb.; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews and extended family at Hampton Manor, where she made her home the last six months, also survive. Her time at Hampton Manor was a happy part of her life.
    She was preceded in death by her four sisters, Wilhelmina "Minnie" Goffard, Sister Charitas (Elizabeth Linders), Cecelia Linders, and Ann Linders; and her brother, Peter Linders.

She was born in De Pere on Ju ne 2, 1911, daughter of the late Peter and Hattie (Linders) Smits. On Nove mber 29, 1934 she married John Minten. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage t ogether. Norma was a proud member of Holy Name Catholic Church. Norma w as also a member of Christian Mothers and The Catholic Order of Forester s. Her hobbies included crocheting and knitting. Each of her grandchildr en received an afghan when they graduated from high school.     Lloyd Peter Smits, 95, Ashwaubenon, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Oct. 21, 2016 at his home. The son of Peter Jacob and Henrietta (Linders) Smits was born on Dec. 13, 1920 in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin.
    Lloyd completed all eight years of his education at Parkview School in Ashwaubenon.
    In July of 1945, he entered the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country in World War II. Lloyd was in the 183rd Battalion Military Police and was stationed in the German cities of Mannheim and Frankfurt.
    Upon discharge in Feb. 1947, Lloyd married Jean T. Janssen. The nuptials took place at St. Joseph Church, West De Pere, on Oct. 25, 1947.
    Lloyd lived his whole life in Ashwaubenon and retired from farming in 1974. Lloyd was a proud member of VFW Post 2113, and was often seen wearing his Veterans hat. Some of Lloyd's many hobbies included hunting, gardening, playing cards, spending time with his family and cheering for the Packers and Brewers. His amazing sense of humor will be missed by all those who knew him. He will forever be in our hearts. Dad we love you!
    Survivors include his loving wife, Jean, of almost 69 years. Lloyd's three surviving sisters include: Dorothy Thomson, Adell Spreeman and Verna Mae Parins. He is further survived by six children: Gary (Judy), Max (Colleen), Judy Rottier (Mike), Gloria VanderLogt (Mike), Glen (Julie) and Pete (Penny). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. His surviving three brother-in-laws are Dr. Willard Janssen, Eugene Spreeman, and Vernon Bruss and his one surviving sister-in-law is Betty Mae Bruss. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
    Lloyd was preceded in death by four siblings and their spouses: Roman(Gen), Clarence, Raymond (Lorraine) and Norma (John) Minten. Five brother-in-laws: Joe Thomson, Mel Thomson, Conrad Berken and Celest (Sonny) Parins, Floyd Janssen, and one sister-in-law Mary Jo Janssen. Lloyd was also preceded in death by his son Paul Joseph and grandson Robert Gary Smits.
    Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive, De Pere from 5 - 7PM Monday October 24, 2016. He was born on Nov. 18, 1953, in Green Bay, son of Margaret VanLanen and the late Fredrick VanLanen. He married Donna Micke on Sept. 15, 1979, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. Dan worked at the Brillion Iron Works for 36 years. He loved being out in the woods, hunting, his dogs, his BIW co-workers and most of all, his family. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Brillion and the Brillion Conservation Club.
    Survivors include his wife, Donna; his children, Christopher, Lindsey, Gregory and special friend, Sara Eickert, all of Brillion; his mother, Margaret VanLanen, Appleton; a sister, Margie (Mel) O'Hearn, Appleton; and a brother, Doug, Brillion.

    He is survived by his children: Sandra (Janet) Van Boxtel, Florida; Scott (Johnni Lyn) Van Boxtel, Florida; and their children, Jenna, Brett and Keith.     Thomas S. VanBoxtel, age 52, Los Angeles, California (formerly of Freedom) passed away recently in California after a lengthy illness, from complications due to multiple sclerosis and kidney failure. He was born April 25, 1955, the son of Evelyn Van Boxtel Hug and the late Ervin P. Van Boxtel. Tom was a graduate of Madison University with a Major Degree in Journalism and Research. He was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church in Los Angeles.
    He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Van Boxtel Hug, Freedom; and his sisters: Judy (Jim) Ihde, Seymour; Donna Champeau, Green Bay; Patricia (Dave) Feldkamp, Wrightstown; Lisa (Terry) Adams, Appleton; his brothers: Randy Van Boxtel, Illinois; James (Kathy) Van Boxtel, Freedom; William (Jennifer) Van Boxtel, Black Creek; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.
    Tom was preceded in death by, his dad, Ervin Van Boxtel, step-father, Norman Hug and one brother, Eugene Van Boxtel.

    Judy (Smits) Rottier, 65, passed away unexpectedly at her home of natural causes on January 15, 2017. Beloved wife of Mike Rottier, adored mother of Addie Smits and devoted daughter of Jean (Janssen) Smits, and the late Lloyd Smits.
    Judy was a lifelong resident of the Green Bay area and graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1969. Judy was united in marriage to Mike Rottier in May of 1986. She retired from Moore Response Graphics after 30 years of dedicated service. Her career started by running the machines and ended in creative design where her amazing talent was best utilized. Judy loved building campfires, planting gardens, and going up north. She loved all things outdoors. She was best known for her personalized cards and handmade projects that brought smiles to those around her. She could find a treasure anywhere. She was thoughtful, present and supportive. She always helped and cared for those around her. She cherished her large family and always celebrated the holidays, birthdays and special occasions with them. She will be missed an immense amount. Her family can't imagine how to live in a world without her.
    Judy is survived by siblings Gary (Judy), Max (Colleen), Gloria VanderLogt (Mike), Glen (Julie), Pete (Penny), Mike's family, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd, brother Paul, and nephew Robert.
    Visitation will be at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 4-7 PM. A service for Judy will take place at 7PM. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences
