    Gerald G. Meating, age 67, of Weyauwega, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born on May 7, 1941, in New London, son of George and Charlotte (Behnke) Meating. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On July 3, 1969, he married Ione Warren in New London. Jerry lived in New London until he and Ione bought their farm outside of Weyauwega in 1972. He worked as an electrician at the Neenah Foundry for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. Jerry was an avid Packer fan, following them every game. He loved his dog Sam.
    He is survived by his wife Ione; a son Frank (Teri) Meating, Oshkosh; grandchildren: Collon and Grace; and very special friend of the family Robert Hoewisch; his mother: Charlotte Meating, New London; a brother: George (Janet) Meating, New London; also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister.
    The funeral service for Jerry will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008, at 3 p.m. at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Full Military Honors will be held immediately following the service.
