    Obituary:
    George Joseph Bruehl, 96 of New London, WI, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at ThedaCare Medical Center in New London. George was born on January 18, 1921 in Appleton, the son of the late George and Marie (Kraus) Bruehl. George married Marion Schwall on July 6, 1945 in Belton, TX. She preceded George in death on March 10, 2009.
    George proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army, 361st Infantry Division in Italy. He worked at Kimberly Clark in Neenah, WI. for many years, before retiring at the age of 62. George loved spending time with his family at the cottage on Stratton Lake near Waupaca. He also spent many hours on the local trout streams and lakes fishing with his brother in-law Bob Chady and other friends. He and Marion also spent a lot of time playing golf and traveling around the country. He led a very full life.
    George is survived by his three children: son, Karl Bruehl, New London, son Michael (Lisa) Bruehl, Manitowoc, and daughter, Cheryl (Richard) Stauder, Warren, MI; six grandchildren: George ( Sara) Bruehl, Robert Bruehl, Jason (Heather) Stauder, Sarah (Sammy) Rutherford, Michael and Karl Bruehl; six great grandchildren: Nicholas, Lauren, Caroline, Grant, Michael and Karl; his sister Germaine, New London; two sisters in-law Phyllis Truck and Virginia Guilfoyle; and many nieces and nephews.
    George was further preceded in death by a granddaughter Jennifer Bruehl; and two daughters' in-law, Pamela Bruehl, and Katie Bruehl.
    A private celebration of George's life will be celebrated at a later date. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
    George's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful people at Trinity Terrace, St. Joseph Residence and ThedaCare Medical Center, New London for all of their excellent care and compassion.
