    Clayton J. Vande Burgt, Little Chute, age 80, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday September 8, 2015. He was born in Little Chute on February 27, 1935 to the late John and Antoinette (Van Ryte) Vande Burgt. He proudly served in the Army from 1955-1958.
    Clayton married Agnes Verhasselt at Holy Cross Parish on August 22, 1959. Together, they enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandchildren. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2014.
    Clayton was a truck driver for over 40 years, officially retiring from Van Groll Trucking in 2005. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the Msgr. John J. Sprangers Knights of Columbus Council 10919.
    Clayton collected farm toys and enjoyed taking care of his yard. He loved people and, no matter where he went, always ran into someone he knew. Clayton could be counted on for a referral to the best place to eat, often a small restaurant that few would know of.
    His great grandsons were his world. No matter how sick he was, they always brought a smile to his face.
    Clayton is survived by his children: Dan (Diane) Vande Burgt, Doris (Jeff) Vandenberg and Diane (Tom) Vande Burgt; grandchildren: Carrie (Tom) Krause, Jeffrey and Antone Vandenberg, Thomas Camron, Belton and Kevin Johnson, Destiny and Clayton Vande Burgt; twin great grandsons: Ethan and Evan Krause, Aydan Krause and Elliot Johnson; siblings: Rose Seegers, Gerald (Rosie) Vande Burgt, Gloria (Merle) Verhagen and Duane (Shirley) Vande Burgt; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Louis Bellin, Len (Joyce), Jim (Marilyn), Joe (Joanne), Earl (Dolly), Fr. Dave and Tom (Terri) Verhasselt, Dorothy (Ted) Vosters, Pat (Bill) Brockman and Evie Verhasselt. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents and wife Agnes, Clayton was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Bellin; brother, Virgil (Beth) Vande Burgt; 2 infant siblings; brothers-in-law, Clarence Seegers, Len and Bob Verhasselt; and sisters-in-law: Betty (Rich) Van Zeeland and Elizabeth Verhasselt.
    Visitation will be held Friday September 11, 2015 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 1:30 p.m. until time of Mass at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Military rites will conducted by the Jacob Coppus American Legion Post 258 will immediately follow Mass. Committal St. John Cemetery. Agnes (daughter of Verhasselt, Antone Isidore and Meulemans, Josephine Jeanette) was born 5 May 1937, Kaukauna, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; died 17 Jan 2014, Little Chute, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; was buried , St. John Catholic Cemetery, Little Chute, Wisconsin, USA.
