Obituary:
Thomas A. Dietzen, age 53, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday evening, May 6, 2009, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 29, 1955, to the late Anton "Tony" and Eunice (Ashauer) Dietzen, in Appleton, was raised in Darboy and then became a resident of Seymour. Tom had been employed by Miller Electric for 35 years and for a period of time, Tom and his siblings owned and operated the Tri County Golf Range, Darboy. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, sturgeon spearing, the Packers, NASCAR and had just recently purchased his dream Harley and had enjoyed one short ride. Tom was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour.
He is survived by two children: Kelsey and Trace Dietzen, both at home; a brother, Dennis (Barb) Dietzen, Darboy; a brother-in-law, Steve Weigman, Kimberly; a nephew, Tim (Jennifer) Dietzen, Freedom; three nieces: Jen (Eric) Drumm, Fox Point, WI; Amy (Jeff) Grilli, Colorado; his godchild, Katie (John) Carew, Combined Locks; and his special friend, Sherry Manteuffel and her family; his former wife Annette Dietzen; and his dog, Angel.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Weigman.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 349 N. Main Street, Seymour, at 5 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009, with Reverend Roland Lindeman officiating. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy. Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. Sunday, until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
Live life to the fullest, take nothing for granted, and spend much time with your loved ones.
