They are in section 10 of Old cemetery. Francis w as Franciscus de Groot and Johanna was van Kempen. My grandmother there ch ild was Catherine De Groot. She married Theodore Bernards and moved o ut to Verboort Oregon. There they left a very rich legacy of which thr ee of their daughters were nuns, I am wondering about the accuracy of the ir death dates. Your record show that they both died on the same day. It a lso shows Francis at 104 years old. Is there some way to check that accura cy. According to the 1870 census they had four children. Besides Catheri ne there was John, Maria and Joseph. I have a John John who was born 18 55 and married Johanna Oudenhoven in Little Chute. Can you tie them fr om cemetery records to Francis and Johanna? From my intense search I cann ot find what happened to Marie? Did she marry? Who did she marry? Any he lp on this would be appreciated? Little Chute Businessman Dies After Short Illness at Hospital Special to Post-Crescent Little Chute - Funeral services for Theodore De Groot, 48, one of Little Chute's leading business men, who died Sunday morning were held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. John church. Solemn requiem high mass was sung by the Rev. John J. Sprangers assisted by the Rev. Theodore Verbeten and the Rev. Father Jansen. Members of the Senior Holy Name society and the Catholic order of Foresters attended the funeral in a body. Bearers: John S. Wynboom, John G. Hammen, Ralph E. Lowell, A. P. Rock, George Hermen and Joseph W. Verstegen. The burial took place in the Catholic cemetery. The death of Theodore De Groot, came after three day's llness. He was born August, 18, 1882, at Little Chute, the son of John and Hannah De Groot. In June, 1905, he was married to Ella Hartjes. HOLD SERVICES FOR LITTLE CHUTE MAN
Special to Post-Crescent Little Chute - Funeral services for Joseph De Groot, 22, who died Thursday at his home here after a lingering illness were held at 9 o'clock Monday morning at St. John church. Solemn requiem high mass was sung by the Rev. John J. Sprangers of this village assisted by the Rev. Theodore Verbeten of Elcho and the Rev. Joseph W. Jansen of this place. Members of the Little Chute Community band and the Se- nior Holy Name society of St. John church of which the decedent was a member, attended the funeral in a body. Bearers were: Sylvester Jansen, Clarence Verstegen, Isidore Lucassen, Robert Verstegen, Joseph Wynboom and Alois Weyenberg. Interment took place in the parish cemetery. The decedent had lived in this village ali of bis life and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ella De Groot, one brother, John and three sisters, Isabelle and Barbara of Little Chute and Mrs. John Vandenberg of Kaukauna.

Barbara M. Regenfuss, 96, Kaukauna, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, went to her eternal reward on Saturday, July 23, 2011. She was born on May 3, 1915, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Theodore and Ella (Hartjes) De Groot. In 1937, Barbara was united in marriage to Eugene "Reggie" Regenfuss at St. John Catholic Church in Little Chute. The couple lived in the Kaukauna most of their married lives. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, sewing and loved going camping and fishing. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks.
Surviving Barbara are her children, Joseph Regenfuss, Combined Locks; Richard (Faye) Regenfuss, Johnson City, Tenn.; and Mary Ellen (Arthur) Borg, Little Chute; nine grandchildren, Cindy (Roger) Mader, Lori (Rich) Lane, Chris (Pam) Regenfuss, Todd (Jill) Regenfuss, Kelly (Scott) Lamers, Tracy (Jeff) Melin, Christine (Mark) Hinchley, Elizabeth (Alex) Lyons and Rebekah Regenfuss; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Frances Regenfuss. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, many friends and a dear friend, Rosie Keil.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Eugene; a daughter-in-law, Louise; two brothers, Joe and Jack; two sisters, Belle and Delphine; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alyce (Allen) Dewane, Raymond (Marcella) Regenfuss, Alphonse (Mary) Regenfuss and Lorraine Regenfuss.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 410 East Wallace St., Combined Locks, with Fr. Andrew Kysely celebrating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Barbara's name is being established.

Kathleen "Kate" M. Allen, 98, of Midland, MI. formerly of Wisconsin, passed away December 22, 2015. She was born December 14, 1917 in Kimberly, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine (DeGroot) Wydeven. Kathleen was raised and educated in Kimberly. She and her late husband, Clarence B. Allen raised their family in Neenah, WI. She was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was also an accomplished artist and seamstress. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and participating in many card clubs. Kathleen will be remembered as a genuine caring and gentle woman. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving is her daughter, Jean (Grosvenor) Van Dusen of Victoria, TX; and her sons, John (Denise) Allen of Midland, MI; and James (Patricia) Allen of Chippewa Falls, WI; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Tres', Ashlea, Marnie, Kelli, Carrie and Erika. Also surviving is her brother, John (Shirlee) Wydeven of Kimberly, WI; and many great-grandchildren. Mary Jo Hoolihan, 90, Kimberly, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2010, at St. Paul Elder Services. She was born on June 18, 1920, in Kimberly, the daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine (DeGroot) Wydeven. Mary Jo graduated from Kimberly High School-Class of 1938. During her years at Kimberly High School, Mary enjoyed drama and had a role in every school play.
She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a dental technician from 1944-1946. On September 24, 1946, she married Richard Hoolihan at Holy Name Catholic Church in Kimberly. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly.
Mary Jo was a dental assistant with Dr. Deloria in Kaukauna until they started a family. Dick and Mary bought Wydeven's Shoe Store on Main Street in Kimberly from Mary's father in 1949. They operated Hoolihan's Shoe Store in the same location on Main Street until Dick's retirement in 1983.
Mary has always enjoyed supporting Kimberly athletics, as well as attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events. At the Kimberly High School Homecoming in 2004, she was honored for being the author of the Papermaker's school song. She was active in three bridge clubs and she enjoyed cooking, needlework, golfing and gardening. Mary was meticulous about her appearance and home. Family was extremely important to her and she was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Mary Jo is survived by her children, Dan (fiancee, Marianne Plotnik) Hoolihan, Shakopee, Minn.; and Kathy (Don) Keddell, Menasha; grandchildren, Sam (Anne-Marie), Mike and Nick Hoolihan, all of Minneapolis; and Molly (Curtis) Maurer, Neenah; step-grandson, Kyle (April) Keddell, Menasha; great-granddaughter, Breleigh Maurer; sister, Kathleen Allen, Michigan; and brother, Jack (Shirlee) Wydeven, Kimberly. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Hoolihan; sister, Rosamund (Norman) Wiegman; brother, Clifford (Harriet) Wydeven; and brother-in-law, C.B. Allen.
The funeral liturgy for Mary Jo will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at HOLY SPIRIT PARISH - KIMBERLY, 600 E. Kimberly Avenue, with the Rev. David Beaudry officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery. Friends will be received at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Please join us immediately following the Mass for military honors.

Speel, Leona A. Age 99 of Appleton, passed away early Saturday morning, January 23, 2016 at St. Paul Elder Services. Leona was born in Little Chute on August 6, 1916, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Habermann) DeGroot. Leona attended school in Little Chute and Appleton, and served as the secretary for the first full-time Appleton District Attorney. On October 5, 1940, Leona married Lawrence M. Speel. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Leona lived her Catholic faith and was devoted to her six children, twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Leona is survived by her children: Lawrence F. Speel of Duluth, Minnesota; Mary Ann Speel of Appleton; Susan (Gerald) Hamill of Burnsville, Minnesota; Barbara (Michael) Matter of Appleton; Geralynn (Howard) DeCleene of Appleton; and Michael (Lavern) Speel of Green Bay. Her grandchildren are: Steven Hamill, Sarah (Hamill) Haase, Deborah Hamill, Andrea Matter, Michael Matter, Matthew DeCleene, Christopher DeCleene, Kathryn DeCleene, Rachel Speel, Nicholas Speel, Anthony Speel and Stephanie Speel. Her great-grandchildren are Elizabeth and William Hamill, Meagan and Blake Haase, Josephine and Charlotte Allen, Everett and Eva Matter, and Morgan DeCleene.
Leona is survived by two siblings: Francis (Lois) DeGroot of Appleton and Florence Duca of Pewaukee. Sister DeGroot was born to Frank and Anna Habermann DeGroot on February 18, 1918 in Little Chute, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille DeGroot and two brothers: Leslie DeGroot and Daniel DeGroot. Survivors are two sisters Leona DeGroot Speel of Appleton, WI and Florence DeGroot Duca of Racine, WI, two brothers Francis DeGroot of Appleton, WI and James Degroot of Greenville, WI. Sister Neff entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on September 3, 1935 and made first vows on August 21, 1938. She served in the missions in Indiana, California, Utah, Colorado, New Jersey, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Florida and Wisconsin. She retired at Victory Noll in 2000.

Lawrence M. DeGroot, age 88, Kimberly, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Colony Oak Care Center. Larry was born November 13, 1920, to the late John and Johanna (Haanegraf) DeGroot. On June 10, 1950, he was united in marriage to Joanne Lueck at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton and together they celebrated 59 years of marriage. Lawrence was a World War II Air Force Pilot stationed in Texas and had been an active member of the Wm. Verhagen American Legion Post #60 in Kimberly. Larry was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was very close to his family and enjoyed the times spent with his children and grandchildren.

Paul C. DeGroot, formerly of Kimberly, passed away Monday, June 12, 2006, at St. Paul Elder Services surrounded by his family. Paul was born in Combined Locks on April 24, 1923, son of the late John and Johanna (Hanegraaf) DeGroot. The former Patricia Schultz became his bride on June 9, 1951, in Menasha; she survives. During World War II, Paul served as a member of the United States Army Air Corps and was a former member of the William Verhagen Post #60 of the American Legion in Kimberly. Paul began working for The Post-Crescent as a photographer, and retired later as a circulation supervisor. Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and keeping fit. Many will recall his willingness as a volunteer at both the Salvation Army and Meals on Wheels.
Paul is survived by his wife of fifty-five years: Pat DeGroot, Kaukauna; a daughter, Nancy Vandenberg, Appleton and her children Gordy, Tim, and Kristin; a son: Jeff DeGroot, Appleton; a brother, Lawrence (Joanne) DeGroot, Kimberly; three sisters: Ella DeWees, California; Evelyn Riley, Appleton, and Theresa Sanders, California.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law John Vandenberg in 2001, brothers: Adrian, Ambrose, Eugene, Jack, and Maurice; and sister, Mary Lou and Grace.
A private funeral liturgy for Paul's family was previously held at Holy Spirit Parish in Kimberly.

Sail boat Capsizes The De Groot boy. son of Mr. about 2 o clock Saturday afternoon in the Fox river between Little Chute and the Combined Locks Turn to page 4 col 1 dam. He had been sailing with three companions, Charles Ver- beten, John Smaxwell, and Russ- ell Weyenberg. The boys were able to swim. but De Groot went down as they tned to make shore after the wind capsized their boat. The body was recovered within an hour. An inhalator of the Little Chute Fire department was used but without success. The victim was a sophomore of the Kimberly High School. Survivors besides the parents are six brothers, Adrian, Maurice, Lawrence. Paul, Jack and Eugene, and five sisters; Ella, Evelyn, Ther- esa. Grace and Mary Lou, all at home. Andrew (Andy) Joseph Vosters, W2681 North Crest Drive, Kaukauna, WI 5413 0, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2nd. His wi fe and children were at his side. He was greeted there by his brother Erne st who died 1-1-06 and his brother-in-law Reverend Earl Schuh who died 12- 27-05. He was born on February 7th, 1917, in Freedom, Wisconsin, the s on of the late Martin and Anna (De Groot) Vosters. He married Calixta Sch uh on November 13th, 1947, and they shared 58 years together. They farm ed in the town of Grand Chute from 1950 to 1980. He was a lifetime memb er of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. He honored his country by se rving in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1941 to 1945. He fought ba ttles in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Euro pe and the Battle of the Bulge. He received the American Defense Service R ibbon, European, African, Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with one Silver Ba ttle Star. He also received four overseas service bars, one service stri pe and a good conduct medal.Andy spent most of his lifetime farming in which he took great pride and j oy. He enjoyed being close to nature working with the animals and tilli ng the soil. He also helped several of his children establish themselv es in farming along with lending a helping hand to anyone who needed hi m. While farming, he was a member in numerous farm organizations and coope ratives. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 258, First Degr ee Knight of Columbus, Holy Name Society, a life member of Father Solan us Guild and the Sacred Heart League. Family gatherings were always specia l, as was the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grand children. Playing cards with family and friends was a favorite pastime.
He is survived by his wife Calixta Vosters. He is further survived by thr ee daughters: Anna (Pat) Schadrie of Legend Lake, and their five childre n: Brian (Candace) Schadrie, Jodie (Mike) Madison, Stacey (Jason) Rottie r, Eric (Lacey) Schadrie, and Julie Schadrie; Marlene (Carl) Boucher, Sher wood and their four children: Amy (Mike) McGowan, Andy (Jolene)Boucher, An gela and Alissa Boucher. Elaine (Bruce) Diedrick, Freedom and their thr ee children: Jeff (Fiance Amy Schaefer), Christina (Jason) Presteen and Am anda Diedrick. He is also survived by two sons, Marv (Patti) Vosters of Ap pleton and their four children: Jenny (Nick) Schaumberg, Joe, Adam, and Do ug Vosters; Vic (Michelle) Vosters of Appleton and their five children: Ja mes, Zachary, Issac, Richard, and Michaela Vosters. He is further surviv ed by fifteen great-grandchildren, Jared, Jordan, Gracie Schadrie, Cale b, Brady, and Cecelia Madison, Jaden, Jackson, and Alex Rottier, Trista Sc hadrie, Gavin and Sophia McGowan, Carson, Griffin and Avarie Boucher. An dy is also further survived by five brothers and their wives, Sylvester (J ane), Norbert (Marion), Gilbert (Isabelle), Arthur and Simon Vosters; o ne sister and her husband, Theresa (Lambert) Spierings. He is also surviv ed by one sister-in-law Jen Vosters; two brothers-in-law and their wive s, Peter (Ceil) Schuh, and Art (Millie) Schuh and two sisters-in-law, Hel en and Ceil Schuh.

Gilbert Vosters, age 92, of Freedom, passed away on August 13, 2014 at home with his loving family at his side. Gilbert was born on June 20, 1922 to Martin and Anna (DeGroot) Vosters. On August 7, 1947 he was united in marriage to Isabelle Vandenberg and they celebrated 67 years last week. He was a member of St Nicholas Church in Freedom, where he was on the board as trustee for 4 years. He served in the Army as Corporal during WWII in Europe from 1944 -1946. Gilbert was an active lifetime member of the VFW post #7692, Honor Guard for the American Legion post #258, and member of Knights of Columbus Post #8061. In 1950, Gil & Isabelle bought a dairy farm in Freedom. Even into his retirement, (1987) he still loved to help out and work the land. Gil & Isabelle's special times included attending church, playing cards with their children, family and friends, Friday fish fries, and enjoyed driving in the country, taking in the sites of farm activities. He truly loved his family and nature.

Art William Vosters, age 94, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2017, at the St. Paul Home. He was born on August 21, 1923, son of the late Martin and Anna (DeGroot) Vosters.
Art was a bachelor until he was 54 years old when he married Eunice (Nelessen) Vosters. With the marriage, Art inherited 11 children and many grandchildren, whom he treated as his own. He worked at the Kimberly paper mill for 35 years and was a very proud livestock and cash-crop farmer.
Art had a business sense and work ethic that gave his family many lifelong lessons. He enjoyed telling stories and loved to reminisce about the past to anyone who would listen.

Margaret Rossmeissl, age 88, of Appleton, died Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in Little Chute, WI on May 20, 1922, to the late Henry and Agnes (Janssen) DeGroot. Margaret married James Rossmeissl at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Little Chute on June 8, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1996, the exact day of their 50th wedding anniversary.
After high school, Margaret attended vocational school for shorthand and typing. Prior to marriage, she spent two years working at the Outagamie County Courthouse followed by three years at what was then Home Mutual & Casualty Company. When her children were older, Margaret started a new career at Appleton Business Machines where she remained until her retirement. Margaret was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Francis Society.

When Betty w as a young girl her family moved to Wisconsin eventually settling in Litt le Chute. Her father owned and operated the local bowling alley and bar, F rank’s Tavern in Little Chute. It was there that Betty met the love of h er life, Jack Grafmeier who was serving in the Navy on the USS Ringold dur ing World War II.After he returned from the war Jack and Betty were married on October 2, 1 946 at St. John’s, Little Chute. On February 18, 1954 they welcomed the ir first child Pat into the world, Jean followed on August 26, 1956 and Jo hn on February 12, 1961. Betty was a homemaker and was an excellent seamst ress. Betty loved to play cards with her card club. She also loved golfi ng and bowling. She was an excellent bowler and was still active until Jan uary 2005. Jack and Betty traveled to many places with their close frien ds and truly enjoyed life together. Their daughter Pat went to be with t he Lord on September 18, 1987. Betty and Jack were devastated, but their f aith got them through. Jack left to be with the Lord on June 27, 1995. Bet ty was active in her church and community, bringing communion to the si ck and helping children with their reading at Westside School.Betty is survived by her daughter, Jean (John) Timm and son, John (speci al friend, Vanessa) Grafmeier and her children: Callie and Stefan. Dick left St. John's High School, Little Chu te in 1946 and enlisted in the Navy. He spent over 4 years of his 5-year t our in sea service on the Submarine Cusk. He was very proud of his servi ce in the Navy especially of being a submariner and recently celebrated h is 52nd year of continuous membership with the American Legion, Jacob Copp us post #258. During his tour the Cusk became the first submarine to fi re a guided missile from its deck and Dick learned his trade for life-bei ng a steamfitter.After the service Dick spent a number of years on the Great Lakes freighte rs. After marriage he was employed as a steamfitter/foreman by a numb er of Valley contractors most notably Azco, and Piping Service, Inc. He w as very proud of the knowledge and art of his trade which he pass ed on to the many men he trained in this area.Besides his love for Betty, Dick had many passions in life, the least n ot being for bowling. This began early in his life as his father owned a nd operated one of the first bowling lanes in the Valley. He had a numb er of 300 games but as with many passions this also ran its course reachi ng its nadir on a wintry night when, after a truly miserable game, his bow ling equipment took a dive off the Kimberly-Little Chute Bridge. It is sa id that the authorities still drag the river on occasion for that bowli ng ball. Later Dick became a dedicated horseshoe player with his frien ds at Silver Spur campgrounds in Gresham and Kamps' Kovered Kourts, Combin ed Locks.Survivors include four sons: David (Connie) Van Lieshout of Ashwaubenon; M ichael (JoEllyn) Van Lieshout of Merrill; James (Barbara) Van Liesho ut of Jefferson, WI; and P.J. Little Chute - Beth H. Kostka, age 71, of Little Chute, passed away at her home, peacefully in her sleep, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Beth was born on March 13, 1947 in Appleton, daughter of the late Jack and Isabella (DeGroot) Tulloch. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1966, and began undergraduate studies at UW Eau Claire for Special Education. Beth decided not to return to UWEC her sophomore year, taking a job at Giddings & Lewis instead. On June 28, 1969 she married Daniel "Butch" Kostka. Beth eventually left G&L to become a stay-at-home mom for 9 years. In 1985 Beth was hired by Dennis Bahcall Rubber Co. Inc as a part-time Receptionist, and after 26 years of service, retired in 2011.
Butch preceded her in death on December 8, 2017, after 48 years of marriage. Beth is survived by her daughter, Sara Kostka, a brother, Jan (special friend Krista) Tulloch, sisters and brothers- in- law, Bonnie (Gerald) Hartjes, Marianne Schmidt, Donald (Florence) Kostka, Jardy (Mary) Kostka and Janet Ertl; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Beth was preceded in death by her in-laws Paul and Harriet Kostka, Millie (Paul) Gailey, Suzanne Russ, Gary Kostka, Bob Wildenberg, Bob Schmidt and Tom Ertl.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Lois Helen Miller, Our mother, of great beauty, strength and grace, has passed from this life, into eternal life. She is joined with our Creator, now and forever in His loving care.
Lois Helen Miller (nee Vandenberg), age 79, of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 28 at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Lois was born on December 16, 1932, in Little Chute, WI, the first child of the late John and Delphine (De Groot) Vandenberg. She attended Holy Cross Grade School and graduated from Kaukauna High School with the Class of 1951. She was united in holy matrimony to Glen C. Miller Jr. on June 13, 1953, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. The couple lived in Chicago, IL, before moving back to Kaukauna where they raised their family. Lois and Glen celebrated 45 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on May 17, 1998.
Lois was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Parish. She had a deep faith in God and cherished the holy sacraments she received from the Catholic Church: Baptism, Communion, Penance, Confirmation, Marriage, and, recently, Anointing of the Sick.
Lois was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her eight children and four grandchildren. She took great pride in tending to her home and garden and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, and was an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed 20 years of employment as a dental receptionist and assistant for Dr. Gregory Russo.
Lois is survived by her eight children: Tom Miller of Stockholm, Sweden; Teri (Richard) Hillgenberg of Long Beach, California; Tim (Cheri) Miller of Freedom; Tamra Miller of Appleton; Tracie (Tom) Zuleger of Appleton; Tanya Miller of Plymouth, Minnesota; Ted Miller of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Tyler (Veronica) Miller of Bloomington, Minnesota; by her four dear grandchildren: Melissa Miller of Stockholm, Sweden; Kurt Zuleger of Appleton; Kathryn Zuleger of New Orleans; and Kyle Zuleger of Madison. Lois is also survived by a brother: Lyle (Kay nee Killian) Vandenberg of Kaukauna; a sister: Lisa Kositzke of Hortonville and her fiancé Tom Pawlowski; and a brother-in-law: Robert (Sylvia) Miller of Iron River. Her Godchildren include: Lisa Kositzke, Jill Vandenberg Jest, Charlie Kositzke, Besty Schulenberg, and Rick Regenfuss. Lois is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Glen, Lois was preceded in death by an infant son, Toby; stepfather Richard P. Dercks; in-laws Glen Sr. and Ruth (Winge) Miller; sister-in-law: Patricia Miller; brother-in-law: Rick Kositzke, and nephew: Wade Miller.

Joseph "Reggie" Alfonse Regenfuss, age 78, of Combined Locks, passed away on Friday, December 9 2016. He was born to the late Eugene and Barbara (DeGroot) Regenfuss on March 14, 1938 in Kaukauna. He married Louise Lornson in 1960 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Hollandtown. Joe was an avid Packers, Badgers, and Cubs fan, even naming his beloved cat "Cubby" after his favorite baseball team. He enjoyed fishing, watching baseball, watching Nascar and races at W.I.R. Joe was an active member at St. Paul Catholic Church in Combined Locks. He worked for many years at the Kimberly post office.

Surrounded by love, Janet passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2010.
She will be deeply and dearly missed by her children: Dianne (Eric Lillie), Mark (Kimberley), Gregg and her granddaughters Kristen, Jasmine, Erin, Deanna, Madison and many dear and devoted friends. As founder of Kuper Academy, Montreal, Canada, she leaves a legacy of her educational spirit for generations to come.

Dan "Hoolie" was born on June 28, 1952 to Richard & Mary Jo Hoolihan, in Appleton, WI. "Hoolie" was a graduate of Kimberly High School and the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He lived in Kimberly and Appleton, WI until 1992 and then moved to Minneapolis, MN. Hoolie's longtime career was with Secura Insurance, until retiring in May of 2013.

Agnes Anne Hinkens, 86, Little Chute, Wis., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center in Menasha, Wis. Agnes was born Dec. 26, 1924, in Freedom, Wis., to the late Antone and Antoinette (Wildenberg) Van Boxtel. On Oct. 9, 1948, she married Clarence Hinkens. He preceded her in death Aug. 25, 1992. Agnes was a longtime and faithful member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Little Chute, Wis. Agnes had a wonderful sense of humor. She had a kind and caring spirit, was very giving, and loved her family passionately. She remained close with her entire family thru her whole life. Agnes loved life, had a strong faith, and was fun to be with. She was content with what life provided her, and found pleasure in pleasing and helping others.

Sylvester (Ves) Van Boxtel, 89, of Seymour lost his valiant battle against cancer on Monday, October 2, 2017 at his home. He was born May 16, 1928 in Seymour, son of the late Anton and Antonette (Wildenberg) Van Boxtel. On June 10, 1950 he was united in marriage to Dolores Arnoldussen and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage together.
Ves purchased the family farm from his father and enjoyed farming for many years. After selling the farm to his son Steve and because of his love of tractors and the outdoors, he began working at the Crystal Springs Golf Course maintaining their greens and of course playing lots of golf, another one of his loves. He enjoyed card playing with his family and friends and also loved any type of dancing; square dancing, polkas, whatever. He was a devoted father and no matter how busy with farm chores he always kept Sunday aside for family time together.

Regina K. Zuleger, 85, of Pulaski, passed away Wednesday morning, January 14, 2015 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour. She was born August 6, 1929, daughter of the late Antone and Nettie (Willenberg) Van Boxtel.
On September 30, 1950 she was united in marriage to Lawrence Zuleger.
Regina was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Navarino. She enjoyed gardening, clipping coupons and going to rummage sales, working hard on the farm, loved time spent outdoors and grocery shopping. But most of all was time spent with her family and close friends, playing cards for pennies and just being together.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence; children: Dave (Linda) Zuleger, Freedom; Jerry (Jayne) Zuleger, Seymour; Don (Debbie) Zuleger, Black Creek; Bruce (Barb) Zuleger, Little Chute; Mark (Amanda) Zuleger, Bonduel; Barb (Tim) Smith, Pulaski; Brenda (Keith) Vosters, Freedom; Keith Zuleger, Pulaski; 25 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers: Ray (Louise) Van Boxtel, Seymour; Sylvester (Delores) Van Boxtel, Seymour; Elmer Van Boxtel, California; one sister--in-law, Evelyn Hug, Freedom; brother-in-law, Alvin Sachs, Neenah.

Ellie, age 63, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at her home in Neenah. Ellie, daughter of the late Lester and Mathilda (Kastel) Wildenberg, was born on April 1, 1945, in Stanley, WI. She is survived by her husband, Paul Raygor; daughter Lisa Reid; son Jeremy Raygor; brother Norman (Lucille) Wildenberg; two sisters: Bernice (Len) Rudolph and Rozella (Clarence) Buss; along with many other relatives and friends.
Ellie was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Bernadine Wildenberg and Leanore Wildenberg.

Mary Pat Vande Hey, 55, Freedom, passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 26, 2 005, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 31, 195 0, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. Her family moved to Tomah, Wis ., a couple years later, where she grew up and spent her childhood. At t he age of 27, she moved to Freedom to start her own family. She was a carr ier for The Post-Crescent. A job she truly enjoyed, delivering the daily n ews to residents of Freedom for 15 years. Mary Pat loved music and dancin g, camping and the outdoors and, of course, her Green Bay Packers. She w as creative beyond words, whether it be interior design, building or the f abulous Halloween costumes made to celebrate her husband's birthday. DeGroot, Ricky L., Combined Locks Age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 28, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV. He was the son of Ann (Resch) DeGroot and the late Eugene DeGroot. Rick married the love of his life, the former Kelly Kluge on November 7, 1992, in Appleton. Rick worked as a brick and block mason most of his adult life. Rick and his happy go lucky wife, Kelly, loved to travel and were always on the go. They were always together, even on their journey to the heavenly gates. On weekends, they would get their special coffee and off they would go for an adventurous ride.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Ann DeGroot of Combined Locks; his brothers: Guy (Kathleen) DeGroot of Freedom and Gary DeGroot of Combined Locks; his nephews: Ben (Tricia) DeGroot, Chris (Fiancé Andrea) DeGroot; Richard, Michael and Gordy Olson; great-nephew, Brenden DeGroot; brother-in-law, Thad (Dawn) Kluge and their children, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Kelly's step-father, paternal and maternal grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service for Rick and Kelly will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, with Deacon Vincent DeGroot officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
My dear son, Rick and Kelly, when times were good on occasion you would take me along on your adventures. We would be walking down the street, arm and arm, with Rick in the middle. Rick, you would say, "I am with my two best girls, the two I love most in this world." When we got together we had great fun and often laughed until our sides ached. In the last few years as Rick's health failed we went through some rough times, but I will always remember the good times. Thanks for the precious memories.
