    Marian F. Preimesberger, age 84 of Appleton, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Wichmann Funeral Home

    Marian Preimesberger, age 84, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Marian was born on December 6, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Murphy. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Menasha and on November 14, 1953, she married Robert Preimesberger. Robert and Marian spent 59 wonderful years together and raised five children.Marian was active throughout her life volunteering at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Appleton, for Meals on Wheels and at St. Joseph's Food Pantry. She loved playing cards including cribbage, bridge and sheeps head, swimming and spending time at the cottage. Above all, she loved her children, family and friends. Marian is survived by her husband Robert and her three sons, Mark, David (Debbie) and Tom Preimesberger, all of Appleton. She is further survived by her grandsons Matt and Scott Preimesberger and their mother Sharen Dennis; her sister Connie Loescher; her brothers, Jerry Murphy, David (Joyce) Murphy and Patrick Murphy; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Murphy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Ellen and Anne; her brothers; Robert Murphy and John Murphy; her daughter-in-law Ellen, her brother-in-law Richard Loescher, and her sister-in-law Mary Rose Fickle Murphy. A memorial service for Marian will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME (537 N Superior St.) with Deacon Gerry Schraufnagel officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service.

He was born in Appleton on June 26, 1936, son of the late Edward and Alma (Brill) Murphy.He is survived by two brothers, David and Jerry Murphy, and a sister, Constance Loescher, all of Appleton. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and John Murphy and a sister, Marian Preimesberger.A private funeral service was held on Friday at Brewster Village.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Brewster Village for their compassionate care shown to Patrick.
