    Obituary:
    Evangeline E. Sturtz, age 84, of 122 W. Brooklyn St. Chilton died on Tuesday July 20, 2004 at her home. She was born on September 30th 1919 in the Town of Charlestown daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Papke) Lemke. She married Harry Sturtz Sr. on June 4th, 1938 in the Town of Rantoul, he preceded her in death on March 27, 1986. She farmed with her husband in the Town of Chilton, and after moving to Chilton she worked for Metal Products for 23 years. She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church and a member of the Chilton Senior Citizens. She is survived by eight children; Leonard (Janice) Sturtz of Chilton, Harry (Ellen) Sturtz of Chilton, Shirley (Mel) Price of Amberg, WI, Judy (Jay) Wolf of Ventura, CA, Marlene (Shiyler) Frost of Las Vegas, Gerald (Jane) Sturtz of Rothschild, Darrell (Jackie) Sturtz of Las Vegas, and Gary Sturtz of Chilton, 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters; Gladys Koll of Chilton, and Jean Karl of Chilton, and two brothers; Wilmer (Isabelle) Lemke of Chilton and Merlin (Bert) Lemke of Chilton. Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday July 22, 2004 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Evangeline Sturtz. Wieting Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements

    Wilmer G. Lemke, age 89, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Century Ridge in Chilton. He was born February 4, 1922 in the Town of Rantoul, son of the late Arthur & Anna (Papke) Lemke. He married Isabelle A. Leitner on May 25, 1944 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Charlestown; she preceded him in death on September 1, 2010. Wilmer had worked a short time at Brillion Iron Works before starting a career at Aluminum Specialty where he perfected the art of metal buffing. His skills became 'World Renowned' when he and Isabelle were flown to plants in Brazil and Mexico to teach others the importance and art of metal buffing. Wilmer was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, the Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus and was a lifetime member of the Chilton Eagles Club. Wilmer's sense of humor and good natured personality was what people loved about him; his social nature and love of cards kept Wilmer the life of the party throughout his entire life. He always looked forward to being with family and friends; whether he was dancing with Isabelle or taking the kids fishing, he treasured each and every moment of day to day life and daily thanked God for the gift of life. His children admired their father as he had learned to rely on faith and prayer to turn life's difficult situations into something to be learned from and create a positive outcome as life moved forward.
    Survivors include his children: David (Kathleen) Lemke of Mequon, Daniel Lemke of River Falls, WI, Susan (Frederic) Bliffert of Milwaukee, Cynthia (Jeff) Voyen of St. Paul, MN; 11 grandchildren: Kim Lemke, Paula Fruncek, Kristin (Rick) Vocovich, Mark (Ronalea) Lemke, Ben Lemke, Emily (Matthew) Michelin, Theresa (Michael) Helfer, Katherine Bliffert, Amelia (Aaron) Willey, Abram (Kristine) Voyen, Elyse Voyen; 8 great grandchildren along with two more arriving soon: Tyler, Tristan, Drake, Kalea, Elizabeth, Addison, Chloe, & Sydney; a brother: Merlin Lemke; and a sister: Gladys Koll. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters: Evangeline Sturtz, Jeanne Karl.
    Funeral service will be at 1 PM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating.     Gladys A. Koll, nee, Lemke, age 91, of Chilton, died on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Chilton Care Center in Chilton.
    She was born April 3, 1923 in the Town of Rantoul, daughter of the late Arthur & Anna (Papke) Lemke.
    Gladys was a licensed cheese maker in the State of Wisconsin and operated a farmer's cheese production operation until she was united in marriage to Frank Koll on January 30, 1954 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in St. Theresa, WI. It was then that the couple farmed together on the farm Frank owned and operated. Gladys also worked at the Kint Lumber Company in Lomira until she retired in her 70's.
    Gladys was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton where she frequently attended worship services with her brother.
    She will be remembered by her family as a meticulous flower gardener and a wonderful cook. She especially looked forward to holidays, and special times when friends and family could be together to enjoy each others company, play Sheepshead, and savor the delicious home cooked meal prepared by her hands. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband Frank, and her sister Jeanette, throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
    Survivors include her brother: Merlin Lemke of Chilton and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Frank; 2 sisters: Angeline (Harry) Sturtz, Jeanette (Hubert) Karl; a brother: Wilmer (Isabelle) Lemke; and a sister-in-law: Bert Lemke.
    Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at St. Martin Lutheran Church (717 Memorial Dr.) in Chilton with the Rev. Jon Christensen officiating. Friends may call at the church from 1:00 pm until 2:45 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2014.

    Jeanette I. Karl, 77, Chilton, died on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. She was born Dec. 22, 1930, in the Town of Rantoul, daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Papke) Lemke. She married Hubert Karl on June 5, 1954, in Chilton. During their lives together, Hubert and Jeanette owned and operated Karl Kent Plumbing in Chilton. Hubert preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1979, and Jeanette continued the operation of the store until October of 2005. She was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church where she also sang in the choir and volunteered with the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 50 years, volunteered at Shepherd's Attic and Bethesda in Neenah, and used to sing for weddings throughout the area. Her family was of utmost importance to her; and they will fondly remember her as a fabulous cook who made the best homemade bread and pickles.
    Survivors include her children, Kathleen (Roger) Demmon, West Bend; Donald (Kathy) Karl, Green Bay; Sue (John) Babcock, Woodbury, Minn.; Patricia (Mustapha) Bentaalla, Appleton; six grandchildren, Andrea (Anders) Carlson, Tanya Demmon, Kristen Karl, Anthony Karl, Steven Babcock, Jeremy Babcock; two brothers and a sister, Wilmer (Isabelle) Lemke, Gladys Koll, and Merlin (Bert) Lemke, all of Chilton; and special extended family members, Mokhtar and Mounia and their children, Youssra, Zinou and Yacine.
    Jeanette was further preceded in death by a sister, Angeline (Harry) Sturtz; and a brother-in-law, Frank Koll.
    Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton with the Rev. Wayne Huebner officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. when services will be held.
