    Alvin T. Van Lanen, 85, of Oneida, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016 at Sun Valley Homes II Pines in Pulaski. He was born December 26, 1930, son of the late Albert and Lucy (Wallenfang) Van Lanen.
    He was united in marriage to Ruth Philipsen on May 16, 1953.
    Alvin loved farming and his trucking business. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, snowmobiling, and their cottage up north at Wheeler Lake.
    Survived by his wife, Ruth; three daughters: Judy (Chris Wagner) Sigl, Gillett; Joan (Steve Cerveny) Pingel, Shawano; Janet (Dennis) Kohn, Gillett; two sons, Tom (Connie Staszak) Van Lanen, Black Creek; and Pat (Karen) Van Lanen, Seymour; daughter-in-law, Ginger, Green Bay; grandchildren: Eric, Nathan, Chantel, Becky, Dallas, Tyler, Adam, Rachel, Sammy, Josh, Alex, Ricki, Dakota, Jenny, Kelly, Eric, Clayton, Travis, and Timmy; 18 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his step-sister, Beverly (Richard) Delfosse; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Knaub and Rosella Peters.
    Alvin is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Van Lanen; three brothers: Donald, Cletus (Jeanette), and Merlin; step-mother, Zilda Van Lanen; sister-in-law: Virginia (Maynard) Krahn; brothers-in-law: Paul (Bernice) Philipsen, Alfred Philipsen, and Milton Peters.
    Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 12:00 noon until the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Deacon Rich Matuszak officiating. Entombment will take place at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com

    Van Lanen, Jeffrey L. Oneida, WIJeffrey Lee Van Lanen, age 33, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2003 fr om a courageous battle with aggressive T-Cell Lymphoma Non-Hodgkins cance r, with family around him at an area hospital. He was born July 5, 19 70 to Ruth and Alvin Van Lanen, Seymour, WI. He graduated in 1990 from Sey mour High School. Jeff worked a variety of different jobs throughout the y ears. He enjoyed helping on the family farm. Jeff also enjoyed attending a rea race tracks and watching his favorite driver #72 Brian Mullen. He enjo yed NASCAR and the Packers. On July 30, 1994, he married Ginger Schl ey at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Tisch Mills, WI.He is survived by his wife, Ginger; two sons: Travis and Timothy, at hom e; his parents: Ruth and Alvin Van Lanen, Oneida; three sisters and two br others: Judy Sigl and special friend, Chris Wagner, Seymour; Joan (Dann y) Pingel, Shawano; Janet (Dennis) Kohn, Gillett; Tom and special frien d, Jean Elsen, Black Creek; Pat (Karen) Van Lanen, Seymour. He is also sur vived by his mother and father-in-law: Jean and Milton Schley, Jr., Denmar k; a brother-in-law, Jeff Schley, Denmark; many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Lucie Van Lanen a nd Albert and Zilda Van Lanen; and his maternal grandparents: John and Ger trude Phillipsen.Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida from 4 p.m. Sund ay August 24 until the Funeral Mass at 7 p.m. with Father William D. Swich tenberg officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Muehl-Boettch er Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family. A memorial fund has be en established.The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Volk and the staff of Green B ay Oncology, Bellin Hospital Staff - 2 Medical and CCU, Dr. Lindy Eatwel l, Froedtert Hospital and all friends, family and others who helped us dur ing this time.
