    West, Ed, age 91, of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 200 5. He was born on a farm in Freedom, WI on March 29, 1914 to Henry and Minni (Ebben) West. While ranching in Idaho, he married Isabel Nuxoll on Octo ber 17, 1939. They returned to Wisconsin in 1945. Ed worked at Riverside P aper and was in the home rental business. He retired in 1976 and they spe nt the winters in San Diego. He loved playing cards, camping, the Brewer s, the Packers and being with his family.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, his children: Lee (Betty) West a nd Dena West of Appleton; Harold (Anne) West, Clifford (Karen) West and Wi lma (Rick) Gates of San Diego and Roger (David) West of Hawaii. He is al so survived by 15 loving grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Ann on February 14, 200 5, and two infant sons, eight brothers and five sisters.His body has been donated to the University of Wisconsin to be used for pr olonging the life of others.Guests will be received at 10:30 with a Memorial Mass at 11:30 a.m., Tuesd ay, May 3 at St. Piux X Catholic Church with Fr. John Schuetze officiatin g. No flowers please.

    Farmer, Betty AnnBetty Ann Farmer, 56, died February 14 at her home in Houston, Texas, aft er a 10 year battle with cancer.Betty was born April 5, 1948 in Appleton, WI to Eddie and Isabel (Nuxol l) West and graduated from Xavier High School in 1966, and was in the mili tary for three years.She is also survived by her daughters: Kathi and Hallis Seale, Cheryl a nd Steve Keene, Sarah and Thomas O’Banion and two step sons, Jerry Farm er Jr. and Corky Farmer and her former husband Jerry Farmer, also her brot hers: Lee and Betty West, Harold and Anne West, Roger West and David, Cli ff and Karen West, and sisters: Wilma and Rick Gates, and Darlene West, a nd five grandchildren: Daniel, Shawn, Justin, Ryan and Cynthia.The military funeral was held at the grave site at Garest Park Lauderda le at noon February 18.
