    Tennessen, Elmer, AppletonAge 88, died Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Colony Oaks Care Center. Elm er was born on April 8, 1915 near Brillion to the late Mr. and Mrs. Fra nk Tennessen. He married Mary Brochtrup on April 27, 1936 in Appleton; s he preceded him in death on April 2, 1975. Elmer was an avid cribbage play er and was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis.Survivors include his daughter, Mary Blodgett, Appleton; his sister, Gertr ude Hennes, Kaukauna; his sister-in-law, Gladys Tennessen, Arizona; his gr andchildren: Suzanne (Richard) Lauerman, Appleton; Laurie Blodgett, Applet on; Jean (Jeff) Rusch, Appleton; Sandra (Todd) Stohl, Kimberly; and Robe rt (Rebecca) Blodgett, Pickett; his great-grandchildren: Daniel, Jonatha n, Luke, Mike, Casey and Christina. He is further survived by nieces, neph ews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by h is sister, Josephine Keough; his brother, LeRoy Tennessen; and his great-g randson, Larry Lauerman.The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2003 at S T.     Hennes, Gertrude R. "Ge rt"Gertrude R. Hennes "Gert," Kaukauna, age 89, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, af ter a brief illness. Gert was born September 19, 1916, to the late Frank a nd Dora (West) Tennessen in Brillion, WI. She married the love of her lif e, Leo Hennes, on August 3, 1937, at St. Mary Catholic Church. In 1987 th ey celebrated 50 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in 1993. Ge rt enjoyed teaching at Holy Name, Holy Cross, St. Mary and St. Nicholas. S he also enjoyed bowling, fishing on Halsey Lake with friends, family and e specially her grandchildren, reading, playing her organ, card games on Tue sday at Van Abels, tending to her flower garden, traveling with her husba nd Leo to Hawaii, Mexico and other states.She is survived two daughters, Alicia and Carl Van Dyn Hoven and Angela a nd Jack Vander Loop; two sons, Jerome and Sharon Hennes and Paul and Car ol Hennes; a sister-in-law, Gladys Tennessen, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-g randchildren and five great- great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo, her son, Rober t, her sister, Josephine Keough and two brothers, Elmer and Leroy Tennesse n.Gert's Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 200 6, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with F r. Jack T. Mullarkey officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at Ch urch from 9 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memori al is being established.
