    Women,73, Came to Kaukauna In 1888, Die Half Hour Apart Kaukauna - Two 73-year-old Kaukauna women who came to this city in the same year, 1888, died a half hour apart early this morning. Both were born in Germany in 1866. Mrs. Amelia Gatz Lettau, 73. succumbed after a brief illness at 3 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Kemps, 241 Lake street, Menasha, where she lived since last November, moving there from this city to which she came in 1888. Mrs. Barbara Wolf, 73, 411 Kline street, died at 3:30 this morning at her home after a short illness. Mrs. Wolf was a member of the Altar society of St. Mary church. Surviving Mrs. Lettau are seven daughters, Mrs. Kemps, Miss Augusta Gatz, Milwaukee; Mrs. Louise Wagner, Kaukauna; Mrs. Harry Schliesleder, Mrs. Frank Frieden, Chicago; Mrs. Glenn Stowell, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. John Hantschel, Appleton; three sons, Emil Gatz, Appleton; Arthur Gatz, Kaukauna; and Floyd Gatz, Menasha; 22 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Fargo Funeral home with the Rev. Paul T. Oehlert in charge. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Wolf are four daughters, Viola. Ella, and Anna, Kaukauna; Mrs. Edward Otto, route 1, Menasha: three sons, Fred and Henry, Kaukauna; Richard, route 2, Appleton; four brothers, Louis, Michael, William, and Joseph Handl, Manitowoc; five sisters, Mrs. Ida Williams, Mrs. John Schroeder, Milwaukee; Mrs. George Simmers. Mrs. Mary Denk, Miss Emma Handl Manitowoc; six grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 8:30 Friday morning at the residence with services at 9 o'clock at St. Mary church in Kaukauna. Burial will be in the parish cemetery Prayers will be conducted at the residence at 8 o'clock tonight, Wednesday and Thursday nights.

    Kaukauna - Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Wolf. 411 Klein street were held at 8:30 yesterday morning at the residence and at 9 o'clock at St Mary's church, with the Rev. A Roder in charge. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Bearers were Dr. G. J. Flanagan, Dr. E. J. Bolinske, M. J. Verfurth, Peter Thelen, N. M. Haupt, and James Kronforst.

    Richard Wolf, age 69, died u nexpectedly Wednesday. He was born October 10th, 1908, in Kaukauna and h as been a lifelong resident. He was manager of the Appleton American Legi on Club and had formerly been manager of the Nightingale Ballroom, Kaukaun a. He was a member of the Kaukauna Elks Club and the to Kaukauna AAR P. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Verhagen Wolf, a daughter, Mrs. Wi lliam (Barbera) Berkeley, Green Bay; two granddaughters, Michele and Melis sa Berkeley, Green Bay; a brother, Fred Wolf, Kaukauna; and two sisters, M rs. Elsie Otto, Menasha, and Miss Anna Wolf, Kaukauna. Funeral services w ill be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, with buri al in the parish cemetery. The Rev. Charles Fredericks will officiate. F riends may call at the Greenwood funeral home after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday. Th ere will be a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Friday.
