    Obituary:
    Albin L. Bevers, Appleton, age 86, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Cherry Meadows. Albin was born August 13, 1920, in Little Chute, son of the late John and Anne (Vaneyck) Bevers. On June 1, 1946, Albin was united in marriage to Virginia Hooyman. The couple enjoyed 56 years together until her death in 2002. He attended Marquette University and was a graduate of Actual Business College. He was employed by Home Mutual Insurance Co. (now Secura) for 42 years. He was Vice President and Secretary of Home Mutual and each of its subsidiaries. He was also President of Homeco Financial Corporation and served on the board of directors of these corporations. He proudly served his country as a member of the Army Air Force during World War II and served in the China, Burma, and India Theatres. He served as Secretary and Director of the Wisconsin Mutual Insurance Alliance for three different terms. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post 258. As a Green Bay Packer fan, he held season tickets since 1940 and was an ardent golfer.
    He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Carla Sexton, Susan (Chris) Sitzmann, Patty (Bill) Dean, all of Appleton; Nancy (Bill) Hannon, Stillwater, Minnesota; eight grandchildren: Jenny (Mike) Bienert, Andy (Carrie) Sexton, Scott (Anne) Dean, Kristin Dean, Sara, Katie, and Elezabeth Sitzmann, and Megan Hannon; his great-grandson, Timothy Bienert; a sister and brother-in-law: Serena and Edward Oliva, Kaukauna; a brother and sister-in-law Lee and Char Bevers, Cedarburg.
    He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia, his parents, and a brother Eugene Bevers.
    A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, May 25, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, corner of Glendale and McDonald St. Appleton, with the Rev. Gerald Falk officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Friday, from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park with complete Military Honors. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established.
    Albin's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr's. Jack Anderson, Kim Riess-Sagers, Jeffrey Whiteside, and also to the Rev. Gerald Falk for their kindness, care, and concern.
