  Kronforst, Mildrede VKronforst, Mildrede V. "Mitzi" Mitzi Kronforst, a longtime Kaukauna reside nt, died peacefully early on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at a local care cent er. Mitzi was born in Combined Locks on November 10, 1929, daughter of t he late William and Catherine (Jansen) Van Dalen. She married Gene Kronfor st in Combined Locks on her 24th birthday, 1953. Gene preceded her in dea th in 1999. Mitzi will be remembered by all for the beautiful rose garde ns she kept at her home.Survivors include two children: Katie (Charles) Witkowski of Kaukauna a nd Phillip (Shari) Kronforst of Bryan, Texas; a step-son: Milt Nash of App leton; four grandchildren: Lucy Kronforst, David Kronforst, Christopher Wi tkowski, and Kyle Witkowski; a brother-in-law: Clarence "Sonny" Pennin gs of Little Chute; and two sisters-in-law: Joan Wolf of Kaukauna and Glad ys Van Dalen of Combined Locks. Mitzi was preceded in death by her parent s, her husband Gene in 1999, her daughter Lucy in 1960, a brother Patri ck Van Dalen, and sisters Bernice (Sylvester "Jug") Bayer and Eunice Penni ngs.A memorial reception will be held at the Fargo Funeral Home on Sunday, Ju ly 23, 2006 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
