- Rudolph Couple Is Honored by Family Arranged as a surprise for Mr. and Mrs. Gerhard Kersten, Ru dolph, who will celebrate their half century of marriage on June 29, a family dinner was held at their home on Sunday. Coming from away for the occasion were the couple's two daugh- ters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Al Kuschewski, Greendale, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ollmann, St. Francis. Others present for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. George Kuney and. daughter, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Kuschewski and Arleigh Kuschewski, Greendale; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brannan. Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fox, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Phil Crabb. Milladore, and Mr. and Mrs. William Dorshorst and Noreen. In the immediate family besides the two daughters, are eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. The former Grace Ellen Fox was born in Sherry on March 2, 1889, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fox. Mr. Kersten was born in Brillion on Nov. 25, 1880, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Kersten. They were married at Rudolph, on June 29. 1910. Prior to taking up farming, from which he is now retired, Mr. Kersten was employed by the Nekoosa- Edwards Paper Co. at Port Edwards. Attendants at the wedding 50 years ago were Frank Kersten and Mrs. Frank Shelfout, Wausau, Formerly Miss Addie Fox, a sister of Mrs. Kersten. Mr. and Mrs. Kersten have been residents of Rudolph for the past 30 years. Mrs. Kersten spends her spare time writing, and writes under the pen name of Grace Ellen Gerhard. She is now writing a book of short stories. Mr. Kersten is kept busy with his yard and garden.
