  Wildenberg, O.P. Sister Cath erine (Kostka)Sister Catherine Wildenberg, O.P. passed away at St. Mary Medical Cente r, Racine on Thursday, October 14, 2004. She was 91. Catherine Harriet Wil denberg was born February 15, 1913 to Henry and Frances (VerVoort) Wildenb erg in Little Chute. In 1932 she was a member of the first graduating cla ss from St. John High School in Little Chute. On August 3, 1932, she join ed the Racine Dominicans and at her reception in 1933 she was given the re ligious name, Sister Kostka. She professed her first vows in 1935 and h er final vows in 1941. In 1968 she returned to using her baptismal name, C atherine. Sister Catherine was a graduate of St. Norbert College, De Per e. Sister Catherine spend many years in service to others in teaching. S he began her ministry in 1934 at St. Edward, Racine. She taught at SS Pet er & Paul, Green Bay; Holy Cross, Kaukauna and in other schools in Wiscons in and Michigan. She became a resident at Siena Center in 1966 where she w orked in the Print Shop. After retiring from the print shop, she tutor ed at Olympia Brown school in Caledonia and helped in the after school pro gram at Winslow School, Racine. For fifteen years Sister Catherine volunte ered in the Intergenerational Fair Program.Sister Catherine is survived by the Racine Dominican Sisters and Associate s, and her sisters: Helen Eckes, Little Chute; Josephine Beyer, Cudahy, WI .She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Chris and Jose ph Wildenberg; sisters: Barbara and Sister Barbara Wildenberg, O.P.The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the Siena Center Chapel, Mo nday, October 18, at 6:15 p.m. Visitation was Monday from 2 p.m. until t he Liturgy with a Remembering Service at 4:30 p.m. Interment took pla ce at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Memorials to the Racine Dominican Missi on Fund have been suggested.
