  Kalies, Elaine M. (Kollath) Elaine M. (Kollath) Kalies, 77, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family Friday, February 15, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born October 6, 1930, to the late Herman and Martha (Van Schindel) Kollath in Appleton. Elaine married Ralph Kalies on February 19, 1951. Elaine was an entrepreneur and volunteered her many talents and time with the Scouts, 4-H, her church, animals and handicapped people. She was also a Pink Lady at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Elaine is survived by her husband, Ralph of 56 years and 361 days; children: Dr. Ralph (Gretchen Leach) Kalies Jr., Dr. Sandra (Dr. Jeffery) Wierichs and Dr. Terry Kalies; a grandson, Zachary Wierichs; sister, Phyllis Bruex and a brother Don (Monica) Kollath. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. (Noon) Thursday February 21, 2008, at Holy Spirit Church in Darboy with Elaine's nephew, Fr. Robert Kollath officiating.
