  Albert "Al" Nienhaus, 86, Rockland, passed away peacefully Thursday eveni ng July 20, 2006. He was born September 26, 1919, in Greenleaf to the la te Henry and Elizabeth (Petrie) Nienhaus. On June 10, 1944, he married Dor othy Schmidt at St. John Lutheran Church, Wrightstown.Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006, at RYAN FUNERAL HO ME, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere. Visitation will continue after 10 a.m. M onday at Hope Lutheran Church, 700 S. Superior Street, De Pere, until t he time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Ehrfurth officiating. Al was bo rn Sept. 26, 1919, to Henry and Elizabeth Petrie Nienhaus in East Wrightst own (Greenleaf), Wis. On June 10, 1944, he married Dorothy J. Schmidt, t he daughter of Arthur and Anna Kuehl Schmidt, in Wrightstown, Wis. Albe rt and Dorothy dairy-farmed in the town of Rockland, Brown County, until m oving to De Pere in 1978. He continued in his love of "farming" by doing c ustom combining and working for Gold Dust Farms until retiring in 1999.Al is survived by his wife, Dorothy, residing at Santa Maria Nursing Ho me in Green Bay. He is survived by his son, Norman and his wife, Mary Elle n, Allouez; his daughters, Gail and Paul Genereau, Appleton; Gloria and R on Stellman, Addison, Ill.; and Loreen and her partner, Barbara, and the ir son, Jeremiah Guyes, New Franken. He is survived by his grandson, Ma rc Nienhaus and his wife, Chelsea; and two great-grandsons, Wyatt Allen a nd Nash Nolan, Allouez. Albert is further survived by two brothers, Ral ph and his wife, Ione, Crivitz; and Marvin, Green Bay, Wis.; and three sis ters, Rosemary and William Pranke, De Pere; Florence Beining and Bernice C lark, Greenleaf, Wis. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Elaine Nienhau s, Francis Creek; and Dorothy's brother, Robert Schmidt and his wife, Rut h, Elkhart Lake, Wis.; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, a nd other rellies.Al was preceded in death by his son, Nolan, in 1976. Also by three young s iblings; his sister, Dorothy Severson; and three brothers, Ellsworth, Raym ond, and Henry Jr.; and many in-laws.He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
