  Family History Researcher	Jay - This is so cool! Clara's father, Hubert Stein, born c. 1860, was a brother of my grandfather, John Stein, born 1852. My information is sketchy on the siblings but what I do have matches what you have given me:children of Clara and Michael Jacobs: Delores, Maurice/Morris, Bernard, Robert, Fabian, Leona, is what I have given by a niece (by marriage) ofHubert. The only one I have dates for is Clara, who went by "Callie": born 15 Sept 1882, died 15 July 1958 (death date doesn't exactly agreewith your 2 possibilities but is close). I really appreciate your information and will have a look at the censuses you mention. I am new tousing the internet for genealogy and am still using dial-up, so my progress has been slow - but steady. When John's family came to America is unknown. It is said John's father changed his name (previous name unknown but may have been something like Hon or Hohen or Hanhover or Honhover) to avoid military conscription. John was a farmer and also (on the side) a cobbler. His father had also been a cobbler (bootmaker). John lived in the Darboy area until 1914; in Black Creek 1914-1919; and the family lived in Combined Locks after John's death in 1919.
