  Misako "Mickey" Kuhnke, 96, passed away peacefully January 20, 2017 at Grand Horizons, Appleton. Mickey was born January 25, 1920 in Tokyo, Japan. She met Roger Kuhnke, Appleton, at a USO club while he was stationed in Tokyo. Mickey loved to dance and when Roger discovered she could do the polka, he knew she was the one. They were married at the US Consulate. Mickey was an amazing and talented woman who enjoyed music, dancing, bowling, all forms of needle work and cooking both Japanese and American foods. She also entertained her family with juggling and playing the piano by ear. She was a wonderful homemaker, excellent baker and loving mother. Mickey always put her husband and family first and loved them unconditionally. Traveling and seeing the world with family and friends was her dream which came true for her. She loved baseball and was a lifelong Cubs fan. She was happy to see them win the World Series in 2016, finally. Mickey is survived by her husband Roger Kuhnke, three children; Marlene (Steven) Olson of Mancos, CO; Darlene Bonetti of Appleton; Arlene (Jeffrey) Bergsbaken of Appleton; six grandchildren: Jessica (Josh Russick) Olson, Denver; Travis (Nikki) Olson of Perkasie, PA; John Roger "J.R" Bonetti, Chicago; Lauren Bonetti, Tucson; Jason Bergsbaken, Waunakee; and Janel Bergsbaken, Janesville; three great grandchildren: Anya, Eli and Zena Misako: beloved sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She will forever be missed by her family for the love, joy, and laughter she brought into their lives. She will always be a guiding light for her skills, talent, and perseverance. Mickey was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John F. Bonetti. On behalf of Mickey, the family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Johnson with Affinity, for his expertise and compassion.
