  William G Hayden - Medford Star News - RJ Pritzl - 10/97 William G. Hayden, 81, Stetsonville, died Thursday, Oct 9, at Memorial Hospital in Medford, where he had been a patient for five days. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct 13, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville. Mr Hayden's brother-in-law, Rev. Bernard Meyer officiated. Burial was held in the parish cemetery. Military gravesite rites were conducted by the Boxrucker- Berry American Legion Post 519 of Stetsonville. Pallbearers were Dave Kent, Darold Wollenberg, Gerald and Dale Meyer, and John and David Dvorek. Visitation and a Prayer service were held at the Hemer Funeral Home at Medford. William G Hayden was born October 27, 1915, in Manitowoc County to Thomas and Elizabeth (Kirby) Hayden. He attended Maple Grove Grade School in Manitowoc County. He was a Veteran of World War II. His marriage to Marie Meyer took place on October 27, 1945, at Holy Rosary Church in Medford. He and his wife farmed in the Town of Deer Creek for many years. He had also worked as a truck driver for Neuendorf Transportation Co., in Medford for over 20 years. He and his wife moved to the village of Stetsonville in 1983. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and of the Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Post 519. Survivors include his wife, Marie of Stetsonville, three daughters, Mary Lou (Darold) Wollenberg of Brookfield, Kathy (Steve) Trimner of Medford and Patricia (Dave) Kent of Plover; five sons, Jack of Teaticket, Mass., Thomas (Carrie) of Puyallup, Wash., Jim (Monette) of Wolfe City, Texas, and Bill (Laura) and Ron (Kim) of Stetsonville; three sisters, Honor Dvorek of Whitehall, Mary (Jerry) Egbert of Clarks Mills and Bette Kelley of Milwaukee; a brother, John (Hilda) Hayden of Pleasant Valley, N.Y.; 16 grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kathleen Young in 1987. Memorials may be given to Hope Hospice of Rib Lake.
