  SINSINAWA, Wis. - Sister Edwardina Lemerond, OP, 93, of the Dominican Motherhouse, Sinsinawa, died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at the Dominican Motherhouse. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Queen of the Rosary Chapel, Dominican Motherhouse. Burial will be in the Motherhouse Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:15 p.m. Thursday at the Gathering Place, Dominican Motherhouse, where there will be a wake and remembering service at 6:30 p.m. The Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements. Sister Edwardina was a primary and elementary teacher and administrator for 62 years. She served in the states of Iowa, Illinois, New York, Montana and Wisconsin. In 1990, she retired to the Dominican Motherhouse until her death. She was born on Feb. 10, 1910, in Green Bay, daughter of Joseph Louis and Edwardina (Le May) Lemerond. She made her first profession of religious vows on Aug. 5, 1930. Surviving are a brother, Raymond; a sister, Eunice Anckersen; and her Dominican Sisters, with whom she shared life for 73 years.
