Their Children: Margaret Ryan, Mary Ann Ryan, Dennis Ryan and Thomas Ryan. Margaret became Sister Florina About Dewane, Bridget (From Dianne (Dewane) Vadney research;Bridget came to America from Ireland with her parents and five siblings ar ound 1851. As they traveled west, they lost their father in NY, where he w as buried, and then their mother in Illinois (though some sources say OH ). Finally in 1853, Bridget and her siblings settled in New Denmark, WI. S he is listed in the "Dewane Brother History" as being married to Patrick R yan. Bridget & Patrick had four children and lived in the Curran area, acc ording to Lyman Dewanes research. The earliest census records dound on t he family so far are 1870, after Bridgets death in 1869. However, Patri ck and the children are found in the 1870, 1880, and 1900 census data, a nd report living in the Franklin township (of which Curran is a part) a nd working on their farm. There is a listing for Patrick Ryan (1814-190 3) on the same stone as wife Bridget (1826-1869) in St. James Catholic cem etary in Cooperstown WI, where many of both family members are buried.
