  Steger, Donald L. KimberlyAge 81, died Thursday, January 2, 2003 at the Appleton Medical Cente r. He was born November 10, 1921 in Appleton, Wisconsin; son of the late J oseph and Anna (Christensen) Steger. On February 14, 1942 Don married t he former Harriet Jansen in Appleton. He was employed at Giddings & Lew is for over 30 years. Don loved sports and was an avid Packer and Cubs fa n. He also loved the "family cookouts". Survivors include his wife of 60 y ears, Harriet, Kimberly; two sons and daughters-in-law; James (Gerri) Steg er, Fred (Susie) Steger; a daughter, Kathy Steger; five grandchildren: She ila (Ross) VanHandel, Mickey (fiance Mechelle Knispel) Steger, Ben (Beck y) Steger, Candi (fiance Matt Teske) Steger, Amber (special friend Pete) S teger; six great-grandchildren: Frank, Claire, Lilli and Luke VanHandel, L ittle Mickey Steger, Ethan Steger; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Joe (D ar) Steger, Bob (Betty) Steger; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Lorrai ne Heilman, Marian (Stan) Lambie, Betty Deeg; numerous nieces and nephew s. Don is further survived by his wife's family, John (Shirley) Jansen a nd Christine Hammen. He was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ca rl Heilman and Art Deeg; and numerous other brothers-in-law and sisters-in -law.Private family services will be held.
