  Mary E. (nee Luedtke) Brouillard, 78, Appleton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on March 19, 1933, in Appleton, number 11 of 17 children of Elmer and Ellen (Kimball) Luedtke. She attended Appleton High School, Class of 1952. She was also a devout Christian and active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Menasha. She enjoyed family gatherings, quilting with her friends at church and playing solitaire at her kitchen table. Mary's home was always open for many friends and family. Mary was a dedicated employee at Rich's Bakery and retired in 1995 after 21 years of service. She is survived by their five daughters, Tina (Gregory) Buss, Wanda (Stephen) Calder, Jacqueline (Scott) Phillips, Kellie Kappell, and Brenda (Jake) Hendricks; sisters, Patricia (Richard) Worden, Lola (Morey) Vandenwyngaard, Helen (Edward) Prey; brothers, Carlton (Carol) Luedtke, Elmer (Karen) Luedtke; ten grandchildren, Emily Blus, Erin Rynda, Roxanne Calder, Alan Phillips, Samuel Phillips, Deena Huss, Vincent Kappell, Mary Kappell, Tyler Hendricks, Shawnna Hendricks; and seven great-granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roland Brouillard, Appleton; son-in-law, Stephen Calder; and several brothers and sisters. A funeral service for Mary will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1750 Midway Road in Menasha. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 9, at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. and directly at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. A memorial fund is being established. The family would like to thank Right at Home and her caregivers, especially Michelle and Erin, Theda-Care Hospice and nurses, especially Leslie and Pastor Jordan, for their continuous care and support throughout Mary's journey.
