Van Den Langenberg, LeonadaLeonada Rosella (“Sis’’ Vande Voort) Van Den Langenberg, 94, died Monda y, Feb. 7, 2005. She was born June 30, 1910, in Greenleaf to Nickolas a nd Sarah (Mc Vey) Vande Voort. In 1929, she graduated from Seymour High Sc hool. She graduated from Outagamie County Teachers College in 1931 and al so took classes at St. Norbert College. Leonada taught school in Shioct on and Black Creek. On June 19, 1935, she married Peter Van Den Langenbe rg at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Oneida. After her children were born a nd raised she resumed her teaching career at St. Joseph Catholic Scho ol in Green Bay and later at St. Agnes Catholic School. Leonada also taug ht at Immaculate Conception School in Freedom. Mr. and Mrs. Van Den Langen berg also operated the Lone Oak Tavern.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Carolyn Vandenlangen berg, Abrams; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marlene and Peter Marto, Gre en Bay; Rosemary Van Den Langenberg, Kaukauna and her friend, Jerry Waalke ns, Appleton; 12 grandchildren, Rubben, Ronda, Rosiland, Rebecca, Rochel l, Rodney, Regina, Andrew, Jeffrey, Peter Jr., Mark, Dan; 19 great-grandch ildren; a sister, Kathleen Zeutzius, Green Bay; four sisters-in-law, Mar ie Vande Voort, LaRose Van Den Langenberg, Dorothy Van Den Langenberg, Luc ille Neuman; nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter in 1986; a son, Robe rt in 1953; and a grandson, Robert in 2003 four brothers, Sylvester “Bud ’’ Vande Voort, Merlin “Jim’’ Vande Voort, Bernard “Bern’’ Vande Voort, a nd Donald “Butch’’ Vande Voort.Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth Street a nd 12th Avenue, Green Bay, from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday. The Mass of Christi an Burial will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Mich ael Ingold officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.Leonada was a true lady with a kind spirit and wonderful sense of humor w ho left a legacy of kindness, perseverance and quest for knowledge. She wi ll be missed by all who had the good fortune to know her. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
