  Paul J. Jansen age 90 of Viroqua and formerly of Darboy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 15, 2015. He was born on January 8, 1925, to George and Josephine (Wildenberg) Jansen. He grew up in the Kimberly/Combined Locks area and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On June 6, 1950, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Drewiske in Combined Locks and they celebrated 65 years of marriage together. They were longtime volunteers at 1000 Islands Environmental Center in Kaukauna, WI. He worked for Kimberly-Clark Corp for many years. Music was an important part of Paul's life and he enjoyed and entertained people throughout his life with his music. He is survived by his five children, Gary (Katherine) Jansen-Byrkit of Portland, OR; Larry (Kelly) Jansen of Viroqua; Linda (Tom) Dorzweiler of Oregon City, OR; Mary (Bob) Austin of Mauston; and Paul M (Bobbi) Jansen of Pewaukee; 13 grandchildren, Dylan, Julia, Aaron, Jesse, Elizabeth, Chehala, Sol, Eli, Luke, Corinne, Nick, Emily, and Abby; seven great-grandchildren, Eva, Sage, Sebastian, Wayne, Hank, Molly, and Evelyn; two step-great-grandchildren: Amanda and Hannah; and one brother, Joseph (Nancy) Jansen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn on April 12, 2013, one daughter, Victoria; one brother, Carl; and many other beloved family members and friends. A celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, from noon to 3 p.m. at the 1000 Islands Environmental Center, 1000 Beaulieu Court in Kaukauna, WI. In lieu of flowers or plants, memorial may be directed to the Environmental Center in Paul's name.
